Carlos Yulo a.k.a. "The Golden Boy" not only made a historic win on the men's floor exercise event of the artistic gymnastics, but he also made all Filipinos proud for being the first Pinoy Olympian to have won gold twice! The second time was for the men's vault.
As a result of his decades-long dedication and relentless effort, Carlos is set to receive numerous rewards upon his return home. Here is a list of the prizes awaiting him in recognition of his outstanding achievements:

Here Are The Prizes Awaiting Carlos Yulo
1. Cash Incentives And An Olympic Gold Medal Of Valor
As stipulated in the Republic Act 10699 of 2015 or the "National Athletes and Coaches Benefits and Incentives Act," Gold medalists are granted P10 million cash incentives. They will also be issued an Olympic Gold Medal of Valor from the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), commemorating their win in representing the country.
Carlos will also receive an initial P3 million in cash incentives from the Philippine House of Representatives, which was doubled to P6 million just this morning. Representative Elizaldy Co, chairman of the House Committee on Appropriations, emphasized that this reward reflects the country's support for Carlos' continued success. She reaffirmed the nation's commitment to "fostering Filipino talent on the international stage."
2. Housing and Properties
Similar to the pledges during the Tokyo Olympics in 2020, the Philippine Olympics Committee (POC) will be granting a house and lot for Olympic athletes who will receive a medal, according to POC President and incumbent Tagaytay City mayor Abraham "Bambol" Tolentino.
Another pledge of a fully furnished two-bedroom condominium came from property development company Megaworld Corporation. In a statement, they disclosed that the condo unit will be located at McKinley Hill in Taguig City and is worth P24 million, which was later on upgraded to P35 million after Carlos secured his second gold.Megaworld have also confirmed an additional P3 million cash bonus.
Megaworld President Lourdes Gutierrez-Alfonso affirmed that this prize is a commemoration of the athlete's dedication and outstanding achievements.
3. Free Items Ranging From P100,000 to P1 Million
Not only is Carlos receiving cash and properties, he is also granted privileges from local malls. The Sy family's SM Group has generously pledged P1 million worth of products from SM Retail, spanning both department stores and supermarkets, all consumable within a year.
Apollo Home Depot has also pledged to give Carlos free furniture worth P100,000. And because he won gold not once, but twice(!), Apollo Home Depot will reward him a Cash Vault for free.
4. Lifetime Meals!
Vikings announced that they are gifting Carlos a lifetime of free buffets at all their branches! Several other restaurant chains, including Tipsy Pig, JT's Manukan, BOK Korean Fried Chicken, Bacsilog, Hagame Sushi and Ramen Bar, and Mang Inasal, have also pledged a lifetime of free meals for the athlete. Additionally, Carlos will enjoy a lifetime supply of delicious cookies from Cookies By The Bucket.
5. "Hero’s Welcome"
Mayor Honey Lacuna confirmed that the City of Manila is preparing a huge "hero's welcome" for the two-time gold medalist Carlos! Stating her support for this historic win, she highlighted that the city government will also grant Carlos financial incentives and other recognitions, which she did not disclose.
6. Lifetime Engineering Design
With all the prizes and incentives, Carlos will also benefit from a unique offer from Nexa Engineering, which has pledged to provide him with a lifetime of free engineering design services, including unlimited revisions!
7. Free Medical Services
As an athlete, maintaining health is of utmost importance. Therefore, Dr. Virgil Lo, also known as Pinoy Gastro, has generously granted Carlos free gastro consultations and a colonoscopy (when he turns 45). Additionally, this benefit extends to indigent patients of Carlos' choosing.
