Hi, Cosmo Girls! We would like to thank you for choosing to be with us in 2024. The past year feels like yesterday. (Well, technically 2023 was just last week.) The New Year offers a fresh start, and it's just apt to make resolutions to help let go of bad habits and improve ourselves. Growth never stops.

We consider you, our readers, to be our accountability partners, so we're sharing with you our New Year's Resolutions. We commit to changing some of our habits to be better versions of ourselves. (We swear to have a check-in by December 2024!) Through these goals, we hope that you get to us know better as well.

Ahead, are the Cosmopolitan editorial team's New Year's Resolutions for 2024.

"My New Year’s resolution is simple: To hydrate as much as I can, ~LOL~. I’d be lying if I said I drink at least two glasses a day. Sometimes I get so busy focusing on other things that I forget to take better care of myself. I'm aiming for a better relationship with water by year-end. Stay hydrated, everyone!"

"My New Year's Resolution is to take better care of myself this year, physically and mentally. I aim to achieve a healthier lifestyle by having healthier eating habits and working out consistently. This means less junk food and fast food (*crosses fingers*) and more of the good stuff! I also want to start learning how to cook more dishes since I just started living independently last year. As a foodie, I usually order food or go out to eat that's why a huge chunk of my budget would go to meals. So hopefully doing that would also help me save more money and achieve my financial goals for the year."

"My goal is to focus more on myself this 2024. I have two main goals for this year. My first goal is to be a healthier version of myself, in terms of both mental and physical health. This means more workouts and less worrying for me. The second one is that I will be reading more (than watching K-dramas) this year! I'd like to go back to my first love, books. TBH, I'm currently in my Booktok and Bookstagram phase. I'm thinking of reading one book per month, so wish me luck!"

"This 2024, I aim to save enough money to be able to move out of my parents’ house by either the end of the year or sometime in 2025. This means that I need to keep a tighter check on my expenses and make sure that I list down every little thing I buy—from my Starbucks drinks to the ~*anik-aniks*~ that I purchase to 'reward' myself from time to time."

"One of my New Year’s resolutions this year is to keep my space clean and organized. I plan to make it a habit to declutter regularly and give away stuff that I don’t use. I feel like my mind is more at ease whenever my room is tidy."

"I feel ambitious this year so I have two New Year’s Resolutions. I want to have a healthier lifestyle and that means starting (and maintaining) a regular workout routine. It’s the perfect excuse to buy cute workout clothes and create a hype playlist! *winks* Also, being a K-pop multi-stan can be expensive. I want to limit my spending and focus on experiences (aka concerts and fan meets), so hello 2024 merch ban!"

"I had a wake-up call in 2023 when I moved to a new place. I was forced to reduce my wardrobe because I had limited closet space. I realized that I was so magastos and acquired so many clothes and sneakers because of unhealthy shopping habits! This 2024, I plan to be more mindful of my purchases. This means no more browsing on shopping apps when I'm bored or going crazy over sales. I aim to be more mindful of how much I spend and to shop my closet instead of adding more things."
