Let's be honest...we've all experienced those awkward moments when everyone's just scrolling on their phones, waiting for 12 a.m. to strike during Noche Buena. So, why not bring back the joy of traditional Pinoy party games—but this time, at your family reunions?

These five easy-to-prepare Christmas games will turn those quiet waiting hours into a moment of laughter and friendly competition. No complicated props needed—just your family's competitive AF spirit! *wink*

LIST: 5 Easy Pinoy Christmas Party Games

1. Paskong Pinoy Henyo

This well-loved guessing game gets a Christmas twist! It’s perfect for family gatherings, combining fast thinking and Filipino Christmas trivia. Players wear a sticky note with a Filipino Christmas word on their forehead and must guess it through yes-or-no questions in two minutes. The words could be anything from foods like bibingka and puto bumbong to decorations like parol and belen.

To play, write Filipino Christmas words on sticky notes. Each player sticks a note on their forehead and begins asking questions like "Is it food?" or "Do you see it at Simbang Gabi?" The only answers allowed are "Oo" (yes), "Hindi" (no), or "Pwede" (maybe). It’s fun to watch the creative questions and guesses as the clock ticks down!

2. Pasko Charades Na May Sayaw

Add a fun twist to charades with Filipino dance moves! Players act out Filipino Christmas traditions or items but paired with a little dancing. For example, imagine acting out making puto bumbong, doing tinikling steps, or hanging a parol with graceful pandanggo sa ilaw gestures. No speaking or sound effects are allowed, and players have one minute to get their team to guess the word the others are acting.

3. Stop Dance Aguinaldo

This holiday version of the freeze dance is played with Pinoy Christmas songs. Players dance to classic songs like "Ang Pasko ay Sumapit" or "Joy To The World." When the music stops, everyone freezes in a pose that represents a Filipino Christmas tradition, like giving gifts (aguinaldo) or eating bibingka. Anyone who moves or can’t explain their pose is out. The last person left wins!

4. Kantahang Pasko

A fun challenge for families who love to sing! This game tests how well you know Filipino Christmas carols and how fast you can think. The first player starts with a carol, and the next player has to sing a song that starts with the last word of the previous one. For example, if someone sings "Ang Pasko ay Sumapit," the next song must start with "sumapit." Each person has ten seconds to start a new song, with no repeats allowed!

5. Pass the Parol

Sit in a circle and pass around a parol while singing Christmas songs. When the music stops, the person holding the parol can either share their favorite Christmas memory, do a Filipino dance move, or sing a carol. It’s a great way to share stories and traditions, bringing everyone closer and making new memories.
