It’s a well-known fact that Ellen Adarna doesn’t need her showbiz earnings to live a comfortable life. The actress boasts an affluent background as heiress to one of Cebu’s wealthiest clans, owning several real estate businesses, including the revered tourist destination Temple of Leah.
Despite being born with a silver spoon, Ellen is known as one of the most unassuming local stars. She prefers to keep things low-key and veers away from ~*flexing*~ her material possessions.
When asked why she doesn’t flaunt her wealth, aka her designer items, the actress had a refreshing response. “I’m not going to lie, I’m not going to be a hypocrite. I do have some pieces, but it is not my job… I’m not a luxury influencer. Not unless I’m being paid or it’s my job, then I’m gonna post some pictures and videos–but I am not,” she said.
“So for me, it’s weird if I rampa [and] post [stuff like] Chanel… What for? What do I have to prove?”
According to the celebrity mom, she’d rather focus on more important things, those not defined by her fortune: “'Cause at the end of the day, what really matters is: Who am I without those things? Without the material things? Without the status? Who am I really? What matters to me [are] things that I cannot bring with me to the grave.”
