Growing up, I was *convinced* that everyone liked their bacon crispy. To me, it was a universal truth. Cut to Grade 4 when I was talking to my classmate and her baon was bacon but it looked different: It was soft and slightly chewy!
For the longest time, I only saw bacon as ulam (paired with rice) and not the versatile food it actually is. Now, of course, I'll take bacon in all its forms, but there are still some days when I genuinely just want a cup of rice and some crispy strips. Ikaw ba?
