Back when people could still go out, getting your brown sugar milk tea fix would be the highlight of every milk tea lover's day. Select milk tea stores have resumed operations for takeout and delivery orders, pero sa totoo lang, we'd rather stay home as much as possible if we don't have any important business to attend to.

Good news for #TeamBahay: A Facebook user, Bethel Anne Dizon Nacpil, shared her own brown sugar milk tea recipe and it is super easy to make!

The ingredients she used are:

  • 1 tea bag
  • Coffee creamer
  • Sugar
  • Tapioca pearls (which are optional—you can also use coffee jelly or nata de coco!).

To start, soak the tea bag in hot water for three to five minutes (add another tea bag if you want the taste of your tea to be more prominent).

Add in four spoonfuls of creamer and one spoonful of sugar, then stir until they melt together.

To make the brown sugar syrup, pour one cup of brown sugar and one cup of water in a pan on low to medium heat. Stir until the mixture reaches a syrupy texture.

Once you're done, spread some brown sugar syrup inside your drinking glass using a spoon, add in your milk tea, and voila! Dali lang, no?
