Ok, before you come for us, we already know: No one is going to beat your mom's Filipino spaghetti. We aren't trying to start something. This is just for anyone out there who currently doesn't have access to their mama's best and wants to make use of what they have in their own pantries. Cool?

YouTuber Emmy shares her take on a dish called Ketchup Spaghetti (or Spaghetti Napolitan), which is popular in Japan (especially among Japanese children).

What she used:

  • 1/3 a box of dried spaghetti
  • half a medium onion, sliced
  • half a medium bell pepper, sliced thinly
  • 2 button mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 strips or bacon or small sausages
  • 2 to 6 tbsps of ketchup
  • 2 to 3 tbsps of butter
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup of pasta water
  • salt and pepper to taste

But according to Emmy, you can really just make do with ketchup and pasta if you don't have all the other ingredients.
