We're only a few days away from getting our next paycheck, and if you're already on tipid mode, we totally understand the feeling. But even if that's the case, a girl's gotta eat!
Luckily, there's a new spot in town that'll fill you to the brim without hurting your wallet. Monga Philippines just opened in November 2019, and already, they're making some noise with their giant, Taiwanese-style fried chickens!
Their larger-than-life selections include The King (seasoned with salt and pepper; simple and beautiful), Hot Chick (created with their homemade chilli powder), and Taiker (made with Japanese sauce and seaweed powder). Priced at P189 each (or P199 with rice), it's a steal.
But at their media launch, I decided to try their Chee-Z Signature fried chicken (P209) because 1) I've been dreaming about it for weeks and 2) I was craving cheese. I didn't know what joy was until I had my first bite. It was tender and juicy, and it made me feel like everything was right in the world—an emotion I only associate when something is drenched in keso, guys.

Out of all their side dishes—and they have a lot—my heart was set on the Fried King Oyster Mushroom (P90). TBH, considering the size of the order and depending on how hungry you are, nakakabusog siya on its own. Coupled with the Black Dragon drink (P110), masaya ka na.

Monga Philippines is located at LG/F Mega A, SM Megamall, Mandaluyong City.
