How do you like your steak? Personally, we don't go for raw—we reserve that for other situations (wink). Whichever doneness you prefer, though, we can all agree that it doesn't get more romantic than steak night with you and your beau.
Looking for the perfect intimate spot for your next steak date? While we'll always love Mamou and Wolfgang, we think there are other steakhouses that are just worth a try. Keep this list in your back pocket for your next romantic steak night.

Where To Go On A Steak Date In Metro Manila
Morton's The Steakhouse
Location: Uptown Eastgate, 11th Avenue corner 36th Street, Taguig City
For reservations: Visit mortons.com.ph or call 09171449415

With a claim like "The Best Steak Anywhere," Morton's The Steakhouse is sure to raise expectations. Morton's The Steakhouse prides themselves in only using USDA-certified Prime grade beef for their steak—a feat only achieved by 2% of beef in America. They also have over 60 branches globally under their belt, too, so there's no question that when it comes to steak, Morton's knows what they're doing.

For a showstopper, go for the mighty 36 oz. Tomahawk or the prime bone-in ribeye, brushed with indulgent garlic butter. In the mood for surf and turf? Their fork-tender steaks pair perfectly with the Maine Lobster Tail—and you can make it extra luxurious with black truffle butter. Cap off the meal with any bottle from their extensive wine list, and you've got a steak night to remember.
Carmelo's
Location: The Proscenium at Rockwell, Rockwell, Makati City
For reservations: Contact 09159038005 or 8733-1088

For many Filipinos, the wagyu and Angus steaks at Melo's was their introduction to a proper steak dinner. While we'll always love the classic steakhouse, we think their more modern iteration, Carmelo's at Proscenium in Rockwell is just as worthy of a visit. Run by Chef Cristina Santiago, daughter of restaurateur and Melo's pioneer Carmelo Santiago, Carmelo's maintains the high quality of food and hospitality Melo's (and their other sibling restaurant House of Wagyu) has always been famous for.

Here you can still indulge in perfectly marbled Australian wagyu steak, simply seasoned and grilled to keep the focus on the beef. You can pair your beef with the classic Chicken Liver Pâté, a cherished family recipe, or go for surf-and-turf with Carmelo's Steakhouse Oysters or Carmelo's Steakhouse Pulpo. Don't forget to leave room for dessert: Chef Cristina also owns specialty bakeshop Sweet Bella, and her picture-perfect desserts taste as good as they look.
Chingolo Deli & Kitchen
Location: UPRC III Building, 2289 Chino Roces Avenue, Makati City; and G/F Building 6, Molito Lifestyle Center, Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City
For reservations: Contact 09176202443 (Makati) or 09171590972 (Alabang)

Good steak starts with high quality beef, and you can trust that Chingolo Deli & Kitchen can deliver on that note. All their steak uses Bolzico Beef from cattle raised by the Bolzico family (yes, as in Nico Bolzico's fam!) farm in Argentina—all grass-fed, giving their beef a more robust flavor as compared to grain-fed cattle.

The quaint steakhouse itself shies away from the usual dark and brooding interiors with floor-to-ceiling windows for natural light to stream in and light wood fixtures. Their Chino Roces branch is extra intimate, too, only seating around 20 people. Chingolo Deli is no-frills when it comes to their steak to keep the spotlight on the beef—you can choose from classic cuts like Ribeye and Tenderloin to more unique offerings like the Picanha, a cut of beef popular in Brazil. Pro tip: Don't leave without bringing home their flaky Beef Empanadas.
Hai Chix & Steaks
Location: See a list of Hai Chix & Steaks branches

Fun fact: Hai Chix & Steaks' name comes from the two dishes this restaurant takes pride in: their steak and their Hainanese chicken. It's a combo that isn't usually top-of-mind, but if you enjoy both Asian dishes and a good, juicy steak, this restaurant is the place to be.

For steaks, the bestseller at Hai Chix is their massive Porterhouse, dry-aged for over 40 days for intense savory flavor, and big enough for three to four people. But if you're only going with a date, you might be better off with the equally-as-good Ribeye Steak, which comes with two cups of their steak rice and your choice between mashed potato and fries. You might not have space left in your belly for their bestselling Hainanese Chicken with Chicken Rice—but that's just a reason to come back for a second date.
La Cabrera
Location: 6750 Ayala Avenue, Makati City; and 2/F EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, Ortigas, Mandaluyong City
For reservations: Contact 09052900703 (Makati) and 09672367940 (EDSA Shangri-La)

Have steak the Argentine way at La Cabrera, which boasts more than 10 years in the food scene. La Cabrera exudes the classic steakhouse vibe with dark and broody interiors, burgundy high-backed chairs, and black-and-white cityscape photos in dark-wood frames.

As an Argentine steakhouse, La Cabrera cooks their steak in a parilla or a grill with an open flame for intense smokey flavor. You can't go wrong with any of their best-selling prime cuts: the ojo de bife or ribeye, the entran?a or hanger steak, and the short rib. The sides are also classically Argentinian: The provoleta is a classic entrada you can't help but love—after all, who can say no to melty provolone cheese served in a hot skillet? If you're feeling extra daring, you can also snack on the Chinchulines, a classic Argentian steakhouse side of grilled beef intestine.
Ruth's Chris Steak House
Location: Ore Central, Bonifacio Global City
For reservations: Contact 79431939 or 0995 631 6346 or reserve online

With gold-accented fixtures, plush leather chairs, and dark-wood fixtures, Ruth's Chris Steakhouse is the epitome of old-world luxe—the perfect excuse to dress up with your S.O.

The steak here is just as top-notch, using only custom-aged USDA steaks served on a 500-degree Fahrenheit hot plate with a pat of butter so it arrives sizzling and succulent. The sides are as classic steakhouse as it gets, which isn't necessarily a bad thing—and with Ruth's Chris Steakhouse having been around since 1965 in the United States, you just know they've got their flavors down pat. We recommend the Ruth's Chop Salad, doused in just enough tangy dressing to keep it light and fresh, and topped with huge, crispy onion rings, or the Sizzlin' Blue Crab Cakes.
Steak and Frice
Location: LG/F, Central Square, Bonifacio Global City
For reservations: Visit sevenrooms.com/explore/steakandfrice

If size matters to you when it comes to meat, Steak and Frice is the steakhouse for you. You and your date can easily share a Steak and Frice plate which comes with your choice of steak from U.S. Ribeye and S&F Wagyu Striploin to Chateaubriand, hot and crispy fries, uber-flavorful steak rice or Japanese rice coated in steak fat and juices, and your choice of sauce which includes Peppercorn, Chimichurri, and Béarnaise.

You can up your meal with a side of buttery Salted Honey Parker House Rolls, light and crisp Onion Flower or a Bacon Steak Caesar Salad with a huge slab of bacon that almost takes the spotlight from the veggies. End the night on a sweet note with a dreamy Vanilla & Strawberry Millefeuille.
