Here's *Exactly* How Much Fruit You Should Eat In A Day

Yes, there's such a thing as too much fruit.

We can't count how many times we've been told to eat a piece of fruit whenever we're dying to snack on something or craving something sweet. Yeah, 'cause fruit is as satisfying as chocolate (it's not).

There's this belief that because fruit is also sweet, it's like the candy equivalent of the healthy diet we can't seem to stick with. But that's exactly why you should be more careful about your fruit intake—fruit has a surprising amount of sugar.

Before you freak out, we're not telling you to drop that banana. That banana is still better than an ice cream bar. What we want you to be careful about is having the mentality that you can eat all the fruits you want because "they don't really have any calories."

Oh, yes they do... especially in smoothie form. Did you know a single 16-ounce smoothie has 46 grams of sugar?! ONE SMOOTHIE. We can't remember the last time we got full from one smoothie.

In one day, you should only be consuming two cups of fruits. For people who live on pizza, that's a lot; but to someone who regularly buys smoothies or replaces chocolates with strawberries, it might seem too little. *sigh*

Yes, nothing is sacred. Ugh. One more thing we have to worry about.
