Confession: I miss dining in restos, especially when I'm with my friends. One fond memory I had pre-pandemic was a dumpling binge-fest at a Chinese restaurant. I remember my food trip buddy and I were just busy shoving xiao long bao and hakaw dumplings into our mouths. Good times.
I know the local government has eased the restaurant operation rules, but I still want to be cautious. I resorted to staying at home and having virtual pig-out dates with my barkada. As I was dreaming about a dumpling binge-fest, I stumbled upon Shiok Shack, an online shop that sells frozen dumplings.
BTW, Shiok Shack doesn't offer regular dumplings—they serve super-sized ones! I was surprised to see it for myself when the jumbo dumplings was delivered to my house. The siomai is double the average, I swear. Not to overreact, but I think a colony of shrimps was stuffed in one hakaw, LOL!
Here's their menu:
Frozen Jumbo Siomai (20 pieces/pack), P459
An excellent mix of ground pork and shrimp, the Shiok Shack Siomai is an instant hit at dinnertime.

Frozen Jumbo Hakaw(8 pieces/pack), P399
Made with plump shrimps and silky thin dimsum wrapper, it's heaven in every bite. (I'm still dreaming about this, NGL.)

Frozen Jumbo Chinese Kikiam (400g), P399
This is loaded with minced pork, veggies, and fish. It's seasoned with five-spice powder and rolled in soybean wrapper. Best served with yang chow fried rice, IMO.

Frozen Tai Pao (2 pieces/pack), P289
This hefty pork Tai Pao is generously filled with homemade char siu, Hong Kong chorizo, and salted egg.

Chili Garlic Sauce (1 bottle), P250
An excellent dipping sauce and a great add-on to hot steamed white rice!

To order, message them on Instagram. They accept bank deposit and GCash as modes of payments. Shiok Shack is based in Quezon City, and they deliver via Grab. If you live in the southern part of Metro Manila, they have scheduled batch deliveries every Saturday so everyone can save on delivery fees.
