Bombvinos Bodega
Location: Unit 3, The Zone Sports Center, 7224 Malugay Street, Makati City

Bombvinos Bodega is the bar-slash-bottle shop of the natural wine purveyor of the same name. This bodega is effortlessly cool and casual—doodle-like art greets you on their windows, and the interiors feature eclectic lighting fixtures and walls adorned with art prints. Ordering a bottle of wine can understandably be intimidating, especially if you're no wine connoisseur; luckily, Bombvinos' menu of natural (or natty) wines that range from reds and whites to sparkling, rose, and orange, helpfully feature tasting notes as well as food (and even activity) pairings.
Speaking of the food, their Filipino-inspired dishes are pretty bomb, too. You can get sharing plates like Charred Eggplant Tostada or Lumpia of Banana Hearts for the table or snack on Caramelized Cornick seasoned with mala powder or Patatas at Ketchup, a potato pave with burnt banana ketchup and spicy toyomansi cream.

Marikina girlies, you can still have your wine-and-dine session without leaving your quiet home turf thanks to Fino Deli. Pair your choice of wine or sangria with any of their tapas or even pizza, pasta and hearty comfort food. But what’s even more fun is creating your own Fino Platter for P790—you can choose five kinds of cheese or cold cuts from a selection that includes blue cheese, truffle cheese, Gouda, Manchego, prosciutto, salami, and more. Why not shake things up even more with a Wine Milkshake like the Strawberry Merlot or Banana Riesling?

But you don't have to go upstairs for your eyes to feast, thanks to Dr. Wine's cozy interiors with warm red brick, eclectic art pieces, and comfy cushioned chairs—all perfect for a long night of wining and dining.
Dr. Wine may be a French bistro, but their wine selection spans the globe from Europe and South America to the United States and Africa. Dr. Wine also offers wine by the glass if you're scared of committing…to just one bottle. Pair your chosen vino with something adventurous like the Escargots a la Bourguignonne which will get you six traditional Burgundy snails in parsley garlic butter or split a classic Dr. Platter, a cheese and charcuterie platter served alongside pork rillettes (a classic French pork spread) and chicken liver mousse, with your girls.
Bar Pintxos Tapas Y Mas

If you love nibbles as much as you love wine, then Bar Pintxos is the place for you. Pintxos are small snacks often served on top of bread with a pincho or cocktail stick, while tapas are small plates of food served alongside wine—and you can find both and more aplenty here. The food menu can be overwhelming so we're going to give you a few recommendations. Be sure to order the Jamon-Allioli with jamon serrano, and the Salmon with smoked salmon, goat cheese, yogurt caviar, and honey for your pintxs while for tapas, you can't go wrong with Patatas Bravas or Gulas Al Ajillo, sauteed baby eels in searing-hot extra virgin olive oil. Don't forget to pair with any of their available red, white, and sparkling wines from Spain, Australia, Argentina, and New Zealand.

Wine, pizza, and pasta—if that sounds like the perfect dinner situation to you, then Project Vino is the spot to be in. Project Vino is both a wine shop where you can get yourself a bottle to take home—or drink at the table—and a restaurant where you can enjoy hearty, stick-to-the-bones comfort food. If mid-day drinks sound like a vibe to you—hey, we won't judge—Project Vino offers a pizza and pasta combo for P795 every 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. (Alabang branch only). Or you can go more traditional and get their Tapas Sampler, which goes perfectly with their Happy Hour promo of buy-one-take-one red, white, sparkling wines, or sangria.
Toka Wine
Location: 141 Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City

Low-key wine shop and restaurant Toka Wine isn't just a great first date location—it should be one of your go-to spots for wine nights (or days!). Because Toka Wine is also a wine shop, the wine list is very extensive, but feel free to ask their accommodating team for recommendations and food pairings. The food menu is not as lengthy, but you're sure to find something to satisfy you from classic tapas-esque nibbles like Baby Squid And Guindilla Skewers and Smoked Fish Croquettes to heartier dishes like Iberico Pork Katsu and Curried Potato Salad or Truffle Gnocchis. Toka Wine also currently hosts a Guest Chef Series with an ever-changing menu, which just means more reasons to keep coming back.

Wine bars don't have to be dark and broody—take Bibio, a natural wine bar that exudes the bright, sunny vibes of your fave Makati brunch place. Bibio specializes in natty wines paired with a selection of snacks and mains that are fun yet familiar. Get your fave bottle—or ask the friendly staff for a recommendation—and pair with Fermented Fries which are fries that get a subtle kick from lacto-fermentation or the Cacio e Pepe Arancini which come with a pepper jack cheese foam. Craving something heartier? Go for the Pasta al Limone, a classic lemon-and-Grana Padano pasta with fresh papardalle or the Bibio Pastrami Sandwich with house beef pastrami. Bibio also regularly hosts DJ nights, afternoon wine tasting sessions, and kitchen takeovers (recently, they had Lasa Supper Club over).
