Of course, we had to celebrate love month the Cosmo way—and that's by launching a new series, but with all the same kilig. Our first-ever Cosmo Couple feature stars Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo, proving that real-life romance can be just as swoon-worthy as a rom-com. They spilled on married life, love languages, and how their relationship stays rock solid. TL;DR? It's all about love, laughter, and a little ligawan—even after the "I dos."
The couple opened up about giving love a second chance after years apart. For Jennylyn, it was the first time she heard Dennis explain why he messaged out of the blue—even after both had been with other people. Dennis says, "Na-realize ko na. Siyempre nakumpara ko din kung ano yung kung paano kami dati 'dun sa mga hindi nag-work na relationship. So sabi ko parang siya pa rin 'yung pinaka-ultimate ano talaga, ultimate survivor." Ruru Madrid is our February 2025 Cosmo Crush, and let's just say: the man understood the assignment. From action-packed roles to charming everyone he meets, Ruru is equal parts heartthrob and hard worker. And yes, he answered the age-old question: Who's his ultimate crush? ;)
The 27-year-old says that his acting career actually translates into his romantic relationships. He says, "Ang dami mo rin matututunan in every role. [Kapag] gumagawa tayo ng mga romantic stories, maiintindihan mo yung character mo na, 'Okay, ganito pala siya magmahal. So, what if ganito rin ako?' Parang na-adopt mo yung mga ganoong klaseng character. Nakakatulong talaga siya pagdating sa love."
