Sorry, not sorry.
That was the idea when we first started planning for this October, the biggest beauty month Cosmo's had so far! That's also why we went with Unapologetic Beauty as a theme for this year's Cosmo Beauty Awards. And we. Ran. With it.
The Cosmo editors—and you, our readers, ofc—are into everything beauty. We read about every ingredient, wait for every new drop (hello, #BeautyFYP!), color swatch every shade. We're into beauty—and best believe we're smart about it. That's how the Cosmo team has always been, especially throughout aaaall the projects our team has cooked up for you.
I've embodied that sorry-not-sorry mindset, too. It's inevitable as the new lead editor of Cosmopolitan Philippines, a.k.a. the publication by and for(!) Filipina women.
And us Cosmo girls, we like what we like. Just like you, I require an iced coffee before I even open my laptop to work—with Sabrina Carpenter on repeat, obv. I live for the thrill of makeup shopping and I follow who's dating who in the celeb world. I grab drinks with my barkada at a new resto where we joke about ex-situationships and exchange notes about birth control. I also take countless pics before curating my IG dump and overthinking my caption.
And so what? This is what makes us fun, fearless, and forward. As the lead editor, I make sure that the content we put out reflects all of us. Like this very thing you're reading RN! This is just my first Letter From The Editor, but we've got a lot more firsts to look forward to together.
We've been sneaky about some of it, but get ready with Cosmo as we put the hard in hard launch. ;)

Can you believe this is the seventh year of the awards already?! For 2024, we went through more than 600 beauty products and picked out the must-tries so you can include them in your sacred beauty regimen. And because we want you to get to know each winner better, we have not just one, not just two, not three—but six(!) articles for our annual Cosmo Beauty Awards.
In addition to the complete list of winners, we also have one article each for every category: Hair Care, Skincare, Makeup, Body Care, and Wellness, Tools, and Treatments. And in every category article, we've included a need-to-know description of every product and a testimonial from a Cosmo editor about why we personally love it. Because girl, we know.

We can't have a beauty month without a cover star who's personified that fierce, unapologetic mindset. She doesn't just exude it in her roles, but also in her refreshing take on making it in the industry as the daughter of acting veterans. Our October 2024 cover girl Kaila Estrada is saving the drama for when she's on set—and she looks good AF while doing it.

3. Cosmo Crush
We see you. We heard you. We gotchu. ;) We've seen those throwback posts of the hunky Cosmopolitan Bachelors from back in the day being liked and commented on by thousands of you. And like you, we also miss the kilig that the fresh Candy Cuties made us feel. That's why we're bringing back that spice into our lives by getting to know a new generation of crushes. Not only will they make your hearts flutter with just one look, but they'll win you over with their wits and talents, too.
