- What kind of phone do you use for selfies?
- What app or editing software do you use to edit your photos?
- What kind of setup (camera, mic, lights) do you use for filming sit-down videos?
- What camera (and mic) do you use for vlogging/traveling?
- What gadget do you want to buy next?

Rei Germar
Rei Germar uses an OPPO Find N3 Flip, which she loves because it comes in a lot of cute cases and "it's so dramatic when you close it!" Since the N Flip can be made to stand on its own, she doesn't have to bring a tripod. Plus, it's great with flash for night photography.

It might surprise you to learn that Rei doesn't edit her photos. "If it's photos taken by me, or by a mobile phone," she clarifies. But she and her boyfriend Migy Romulo have a golden rule: "If it's his photo, he needs to edit it." So Migy gets to play around with his own color grading style!

For sit-down videos, Rei likes the Sony a7C because it shoots in 4K, so the footage is high quality enough if her editor wants to color grade. "As a vlogger, I like a wide angle lens kasi para kita lahat when you're vlogging." However, Rei is not "a prime lens girlie." She prefers zoom lenses so she can easily adjust her shots to crop in tight. She uses a wireless DJI mic for quality audio, and prefers to shoot in natural light.
Rei used to carry around a vlogging kit when traveling, until she realized that bringing so much equipment sucked the joy out of it. "I don't want it to feel like work, because it's going to reflect in the video." So right now she uses the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. "I feel like at this point, parang wala nang content creator na wala 'nun eh...The screen tilts, so you can shoot portrait or landscape. It's perfect for TikTokers and IG people na 16:9, but also for full-length vloggers." However, Rei does still bring along her Sony a7C to record footage when indoors: "sometimes DJI...the quality is not the best when it's low light, so I still prefer a 4K mirrorless camera."

Because she's a vlogger, Rei owns a lot of video cameras. So on her current wishlist is a tiny point-and-shoot, like a RICOH GR III. "I want to take photos, for the mems...but for some reason it's so hyped, so it's so expensive."
Laureen Uy
Laureen Uy relies on her trusty OPPO phones—specifically the OPPO Reno11 Pro 5G and OPPO N3 Flip. In terms of photo editing, it depends on the photo "but these are the apps I usually use: Tezza, Snapseed, Lightroom, [and] Facetune."

When it comes to her sit-down videos, "I believe natural lighting is the best lighting so I usually film beside a window during the afternoon." For her vids filmed at home (like her unboxing videos), Laureen uses the Sony ZV-1 with an external wide angle lens—and a small Boya mic for that crisp sound quality ("you can just plug and unplug easily!).
For travel vlogs, the content creator invested in the DJI Osmo Pocket 3: "It's so compact I love it!" She's also been using the Insta360 GO 3S: "Its thumb-size body just makes it so comfortable to shoot anytime, anywhere." Her most recent gadget purchase was a pair of Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, which she bought in Spain.

Camille Co
Camille Co always reaches for her iPhone 14 Pro, and prefers the Lightroom and Tezza apps for photo editing. For her at home vlogs, she uses the Sony a7C with a 28-75mm lens and Sony ECM-B1M shotgun microphone. "I don’t like setting up lights and prefer using daylight," she shared.
When it comes to traveling, Camille considers the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 to be "the best" because of its features and portable size. Is there a gadget she has her eye on rn? Well, turns out she recently bought the RICO GR III HDF! "It’s so easy to use and perfect for travels. It makes me want to take more random photos like how I used to when I had a blog."

Patricia Prieto
Patricia Prieto was using a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, but recently switched to the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra: "It's life changing!" She also uses a Leica Q for outfit photos.

For photo editing, Patricia has several go-to apps: Unfold, Tezza, InShot and Dazz Cam. Of course, the best camera is the one you have with you, so here's a genius solution: "I even have an SD card reader for when I snap photos with my [phone] camera, just so I can edit using these apps."
JSYK, Patricia's go-to setup for her vlogs is her Sony ZV-1 camera, a Boya mic for when she's seated or taking b-roll footage, and a tripod. The content creator also says no to ring lights: "I make sure to shoot videos during the day. I'm a sucker for natural light!"

However, when traveling she downsizes her kit. Instead, Patricia prefers to use the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, "so it's stable when I walk!" When asked about her gadget wishlist, she's very happy with her collection rn—with an honest caveat. "Give it a few months. I'm sure something new will pop up before the holidays, haha!"
Lissa Kahayon
One app that Lissa Kahayon can't live without on her iPhone 15 Pro Max? Phlow, which she uses to edit pics on her phone (she edits on Lightroom when using a laptop, FYI).
Since she doesn't do a lot of sit-down videos, she usually just hits the record button on her phone "since it shoots awesome videos." But if a higher production vid is needed, she works with a team and uses her Sony ZV-E10. "It has a built-in mic, which I love."
For photos, Lissa shoots with a Leica camera, and is currently eyeing the newest GoPro (GoPro HERO12 Black) for her upcoming travels!

Ashley Garcia
"I'm using my iPhone 15 Pro," Ashley Garcia shared. Aside from the Adobe Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop), she uses Snapseed and Picsart to edit her photos.

For her sit-down vids, Ashley's setup is either her Canon EOS M50 or Sony a7C with the Rode Wireless GO II microphone for recording audio.
When out and about, she uses her iPhone to vlog since it's convenient. If you're wondering how she gets that ~*vintage vibe*~ for her footage, Ashley also uses the Sony HDR-CX405 HD handycam. She switches it up with the super compact GoPro Hero9 for underwater shots, and the Insta360 for creative shots. And like many other creators, she's thinking of adding the DJ Osmo Pocket 3 to her camera collection!

Anna Cay
Anna Cay also uses an iPhone 15 Pro Max for everyday. She uses Tezza to edit her photos, and Final Cut Pro to edit her videos.
Anna has two different equipment combos for creating content. The Canon EOS R and Canon EOS R5 cameras plus the Rode Wireless Go II microphone for sit-down videos, and her DJI Osmo Pocket 3 for travel vlogs. Sometimes, she even films using her iPhone for convenience!

In July 2023 during her trip to Japan, Anna also added the Canon Powershot V10 to her collection!

Janeena Chan
Janeena Chan's vlogging set-up is pretty simple: her iPhone 13 Pro Max, plus natural daylight by a big window so the lighting isn't harsh or too direct. "[I use] InShot for videos and Meitu for pics," she noted.
Now that Janeena's back on YouTube, she's thinking about adding the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 to her kit.
