Boracay is the ultimate summer destination for Pinoys, but here's a story to support the idea that it's an all-year-round travel spot. I've visited the island in different seasons: Summer and 'Ber months.
During all those times, I've enjoyed my stay. The island is simply beautiful and it has a lot to offer. I'm not really a water baby—I'm okay with not doing any beach activities. What really draws me into Boracay is the food spots! As a foodie, I can never run out of restaurant and cafe options whenever I visit.
If love trying out different eats like me, here's a sample itinerary on how to travel like a foodie editor.

Getting There
It's easier to get a Caticlan flight when getting to Boracay. There are several flights to Godofredo International Airport available, so there's no need to worry. During peak season, I highly suggest you book way ahead because flights can get full really fast.
Boracay is an island so there would be land and boat transfers. Save yourself the headache and pre-book with Southwest Tours. They'll take care of your transportation needs from the airport to the Jetty Port to the hotel, and vice versa.
Stay
The District
This beachfront hotel is the ideal spot to stay in when you're in Boracay. Nestled in Station 2, it's near D'mall so you'll have easy access to famous Boracay eats and night spots. It's also a few meters away from Station 1 so you can sunbathe in peace, away from the crowd.

Eat
When I said that Boracay is a foodie destination, I was serious! Here are some of my fave restos that I'll go back to when I'm on the island again.
Nonies
As a brunch girl, I just had to have my first meal of the day at Nonie's. You must order their famous chicken and pork adobo. The meat was tender and the adobo sauce had the perfect balance of savory and tangy. Want a plant-based meal? The tempeh bowl is delicious!
I'm also a believer that it's never too early to drink alcohol. Order the refreshing Island Potion. It's Nonie's' take on the Gimlet using Gayuma liqueur and Blue Pea Gin. The fruity and spicy notes will wake you up. I also like Malaya, an ube liquor-based drink.

Little Taj
Boy, oh boy. I wish Little Taj would have a branch in Metro Manila because I'm missing their Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani so badly. It has tender chicken in layers of fluffy rice, fragrant spices, roasted cashews, and fried onions topped with an egg and served with yogurt on the side.

Muchos
I beg you to please try the Beef and Queso Birria Tacos because these were so good, I didn't to share them with my friends. Gambas Quinotto is a lighter version of risotto because it's made with tricolor quinoa instead of rice. Don't sleep on the oysters—this dish is both spicy and fresh!
The cocktail drinks are the perfect accompaniment to their dishes. Or you can just order these drinks and enjoy them over chit-chat with your barkada.

Island Izakaya
I love Japanese food, and I probably eat one Japanese dish at least once a week. Island Izakaya's Yakitori Grilled Meats would be something I'd order again. Hint: I am not a fan of bacon, but I basically inhaled the grilled bacon-wrapped cheese.
Also, don't sleep on the Healthy Salmon Bowl. The salmon is perfectly cooked and the edamame complements the savory flavors of the fish.

Beach Babe Must-Haves
Just in case you're curious, here are the items I brought during my trip.
