"Chicken or beef?" That's one question every flight passenger has been asked—maybe in the middle of their in-flight movie or a much-needed nap. And if you've already packed your bags for your 2025 travel plans, you don't have to panic-decide on the spot anymore. Those hopping on a long-haul flight with Philippine Airlines this year will be happy to hear that they can now order their meal even before their plane takes off.

PAL's Special Meals is another offer that we see many flyers appreciating. It's made for people who have dietary restrictions, whether it's for health or cultural reasons. Those who need these special diet meals can pre-order up to 48 hours before their international flight. The Special Meals menu includes Diabetic, Gluten-Free, Low Fat, Low Cholesterol, Low Sodium, Vegan, and Vegetarian options.

Cultural dietary restrictions, which typically require dishes to be prepared a specific way, are also accommodated under PAL's Special Meals through the Hindu, Kosher, and Muslim-friendly meal choices available. When flying to Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Middle East, PAL will only serve halal-certified meals during the flight.

How can passengers pre-order their PAL meal?

All travelers from domestic, economy, and premium economy international passengers to those in business class can enjoy PAL's new update. There's no seat discrimination here! After all, we're flying to our destinations the same way. *wink*

The only difference is, because domestic flights are often shorter, passengers on these flights can opt to order dishes from the PAL culinary team if they wanna have a quick bite before landing. Meanwhile, those on Economy and Premium Economy international flights can upgrade their meals. This is so perfect for the more introverted passengers or those who easily get overwhelmed with making choices on the spot! At least if you know exactly what you're gonna get, instead of dreading whatever's gonna be available, you'll be craving for the meal you already picked.

For those seated in business class for long-haul flights to mainland U.S., Canada, Honolulu, and Australia, in-flight meals are a must. After all, you're spending more than half the day in transit! Business class passengers for these trips have the option to choose from a PAL-crafted menu that would depend on their flight or season. They just have to pre-order their in-flight meals starting from 30 days in advance to at least 72 hours before boarding. Convenient, isn't it?
