Burnout from work is your body's way of telling you to take a break. The best way to recharge is to book a vacation leave and be away from the noise and stress at the workplace. Studies have shown that vacation time is essential for employee well-being.
I was also in dire need of a break, so it was perfect timing for a trip to Bohol. I stayed at Solea Coast Panglao, a destination for those seeking a break from workplace chaos to recharge their tired selves. Solea Coast Panglao is near Tagbilaran International Airport and a short drive from Alona Beach. Solea provides transportation services so you need not worry if you need to hitch a ride.

Why is it the ideal destination for the eternally tired
As soon as you get to the hotel, you'll be captivated by the ocean-themed visuals, colorful interiors, and an overall ambiance of escape. I instantly knew I would be a renewed person during my stay.

I suggest you get a room with a view because nothing beats enjoying the beauty of nature to relax your mind. During my stay, I read a book every morning on the balcony because I like listening to the sounds of the waves while reading. (Tip: This is also a great selfie spot because of the natural lighting.)

Another spot to chill in is the beachfront! Get a tan or stay in the shade. Read a book or simply just be a ~potato~.

I channeled my inner main character by taking a dip at the outdoor pool and just being one with my thoughts. (BTW, don't forget to order drinks from the pool bar.)

For those who need a nightcap, I highly suggest you order drinks from the newly opened Salt & Sky Bar, the first-ever rooftop bar in Bohol. While I had my glass of amaretto sour in my hand, I enjoyed a mesmerizing 360-degree view of Panglao island.

I uttered these words to myself: "Life is good after all."
The healing vibe of the resort helped me reflect and see my life in a different light. Yes, life would always be busy which also means there is always something to be thankful for. I am grateful to be at the beach, away from Manila traffic, tight deadlines, and city noise. But, I also appreciate the exact things I was temporarily escaping from. Those fast-paced factors energize me as well.
What about the food?
Lunch at Earth Cafe made me not worry about my food baby showing when I wear a bikini. You'll have a hard time choosing what to order because they've got Filipino, Japanese, Korean, and American food there. Delicious food is essential for my ~healing~ era.

If you want to explore other Bohol travel destinations...
If you want a change of scenery, head to the nearby attractions such as the picturesque sandbar and the famous white sand beach of Alona Beach in Bohol are easily accessible. (Solea can help arrange this for you!) I discovered a cafe there that sells coconut latte.
Solea Coast Panglao has always had ~workationers~ in mind.
Solea Coast Panglao has fast internet connectivity, so you'll never feel FOMO from your friends in Manila. For those who are into mixing work and leisure, this is the best spot to stay in. Workation, anyone?
TL;DR: Why should you stay in Solea Coast Panglao?
It's time to take a break, heal from work burnout, and embrace the calmness Solea Coast Panglao offers. Your mind and spirit deserve it.
