Chicks in rebel chic were spotted at the Grand Finals of the Nescafe Soundskool rock competition held on November 17. Thirteen new bands from all over the country, chosen from hundreds of applicants, had a once in a lifetime opportunity to showcase their musical talents that night.
The lucky bands participated in several workshops (including one in Boracay) with ‘mentor’ bands such as Sandwich, 6 Cycle Mind, Moonstar 88, and Pedicab among others--all of whom have already left an indelible mark in the local music industry, something that the winning band, which turned out to be Eevee, would hope to become one day.
Needless to say, this gathering of talented unknowns with the country’s best bands made for one big, unforgettable event in the Ninoy Aquino Stadium. And these rockin’ gals did not dare miss one hell of a night, as they came in fashionable ensembles that show off their unique styles.
