PSA: There's A Korean Festival Happening In BGC This Weekend

Do you enjoy riding the hallyu wave? In case you don't have anything planned this coming weekend, drop by Bonifacio High Street's C1 Park from May 31 to June 1, and the BGC Amphitheater from June 1 to 2 for the K-Street Festival hosted by the Korean Cultural Center in the Philippines and done in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in the Philippines, United Korean Community Association, and Bonifacio High Street.

As part of the Korean Culture Day event of the Korean Culture and Information Service of Korea, the event will have an array of awesome activities that will make your K-loving heart go dugeun dugeun:

1. Games, merchandise, and a streaming sesh for the K-Pop and K-drama fans

If you spend your days listening to Blackpink or BTS on repeat, then we got you! There are a total of seven areas in the Festival's K-Pop Zone where you can just listen to the tunes of your favorite artists, buy assorted K-pop merchandise, and win exciting freebies.

Moreover, fans of TWICE and TVXQ will have the chance to get first dibs on concert tickets and freebies at the Bonifacio High Street Ampitheater courtesy of Globe Prepaid, Globe at Home, and Pulp.

For the K-Drama fan with discerning taste, Netflix and VIU will be streaming the best Korean TV series, so you can legit binge-watch old favorites and new titles.

2. A sneak peak of what the sights of South Korea can offer you

Need more convincing to add SK to your travel bucket list? The K-Tour Zone organized by the Korea Tourism Organization offers an array of destinations you can visit, as well as tour options you can apply for.

3. A delectable spread of Korean dishes and delicacies

Who doesn't love bibimbap and kimchi? Get your fill of authentic Korean dishes at the K-Food Zone in case walking around the festival gets you hungry.

4. An opportunity to check out interesting K-Fashion finds (plus to try on your first hanbok)

Get to wear traditional Korean clothing courtesy of Hanbok Palace and pose for a selfie! They've got interesting buys too, so make sure to bring a bit of cash.

5. An awe-inspiring Taekwondo demonstration

You're probably familiar with Kukkiwon Taekwondo Demonstration Team. If you aren't, then a quick intro to what they can do:

Can't get enough of them? Don't worry, they're flying in just for the Festival! You can also enjoy other performances and games at the K-Sports zone.

6 An immersive tech experience

The Festival also features a K-Tech zone, which gives you the change to try Samsung's VR technology, as well as to try out Corean Mobile from IT Corea, which offers three different mobile numbers in one SIM card.

The best thing of all? K-Street Festival is free, so make sure the save the dates!
