LRT-2 Will Offer Free Rides On December 30 To Commemorate Rizal Day

ICYMI, the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) Line 2 is offering free rides to commuters on December 30 in commemoration of Rizal Day.

LRTA made the announcement in a Facebook post on December 16:

According to the post, the schedule of the free rides will be as follows: 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The public holiday on December 30 commemorates the 123rd death anniversary of the country’s national hero, Jose Rizal.

Meanwhile, LRT-2’s Santolan, Katipunan, and Anonas stations remain closed after the power supply transformers between the Anonas and Katipunan stations and in the Santolan depot tripped, resulting in a fire that happened in October 2019.
