Every end of the year, we anticipate the announcement of the global authority of color communication and inspiration, Pantone. For 2020, the color of the year was "Classic Blue." Pantone explained that because the hue represents and fulfills a “desire for a dependable, stable foundation."
The team finally revealed the colors they've chosen for the year 2021—yes, they've picked two shades: Ultimate Gray and Illuminating. According to Pantone, the "two independent colors that highlight how different elements come together to support one another."

Ultimate Gray (inspired by the colors of pebbles on the beach) is "practical and rock-solid but at the same time warming and optimistic," while Illuminating (a bright, cheerful yellow) represents "strength and positivity."
After all the events that happened in 2020, the Pantone team felt that the world needed something to helpf lift their spirits. The color story of Ultimate Gray and Illuminating is a "message of happiness supported by fortitude." There is "energy, clarity, and hope to overcome the continuing uncertainty, spirited and emboldening shades satisfy our quest for vitality."
