You read the headline right. Andres Muhlach revealed he never had a girlfriend. The 22-year-old shared this personal trivia about himself during a media conference on April 15, 2024. Andres was officially introduced as one of the talented stars of Viva Artists Agency. He announced back in January 2024 that he was joining showbiz.
Going back to his confession, Andres detailed his dating life: "I have actually never had a girlfriend in my whole life," he told the press. "Of course, I've tried to date. I went on a few dates in my life, but did it end at the relationship level? It never really reached there," he continued.
Is Andres looking for his first-ever girlfriend right now? He thinks there's more time for that in the future. What's important for him, though, is to focus on his career at the moment.
"I'm not saying that I'm looking for one right now. But I'm more focused on work right now. In time, it will come. In time, she'll be there for sure. Sana, 'di ba?" he later on divulged in front of the media.
What Andres Muhlach is looking for in a girlfriend
But of course, the media couldn't let go of the conversation just yet. Following Andres' revelation, follow-up questions were thrown at the young star. One of the questions was what traits he is looking for in a potential partner.
Andres responded, "It's just someone I can enjoy spending time with. Someone who can make me laugh."
"Also, another important thing is someone who is God-fearing. It's a big factor for me. Because it shows me the fundamentals of how it is to be a person," Andres proclaimed.
Andres Muhlach's rising career
Andres admittedly felt nervous about the press conference—apparently, it was his first solo press con.
"This is my first solo press conference so I’m a bit nervous, but I’m very excited to be here. I’m really grateful to get this opportunity," he stated.
Despite the first-time jitters, Andres was able to connect to the media and convert his thoughts well. He also paid respects to his parents, Aga Muhlach and Charlene Gonzalez. He said his parents have always supported him and his twin sister, Atasha Muhlach.
He even disclosed some of their parents' ultimate tips to survive showbiz. Top on the list was to choose kindness always. Andres noted, "My parents always told me na just be nice to everyone, no matter who it is and you’ll never know in the future what they can do for you or what you can do for them. Always just be a blessing to other people."
We'll see Andres' showbiz projects materialize by the third quarter of 2024. That seems like a long time, but Viva Artists Agency assures fans it's all worth the wait!
"I just wanted to really have the opportunity to work, and show business is an industry that I really respect. I understand the difficulties of it and I wanna learn. I wanna be able to make people smile," he declared.
