Ariana Grande and Dalton Gomez have separated and are "heading for divorce", according to TMZ.
Speculation about the couples' relationship status hit a fever pitch over the weekend, when Ariana was spotted without her wedding ring while attending Wimbledon with Jonathan Bailey and Andrew Garfield.
According to TMZ—who spoke to "sources connected to the couple—Ariana and Dalton "have been separated since January, and they are heading toward divorce."
Apparently, the pair are said to have "tried a reconciliation" a few months back, but it "failed." It's unclear what went wrong in the relationship, but Ariana and Dalton have been long distance since she started filming Wicked in December. It doesn't look like distance was a huge factor, though, as TMZ reports that their problems started "before that."
Either way, the former couple are keeping their separation pretty drama-free. Per the outlet, "they remain friends and still talk on the phone regularly."
On Sunday, TMZ reported that "sources with direct knowledge" had told them Ariana and Dalton "have, in fact, had marriage trouble of late ... including a rough patch a few months ago."
Ariana last posted Dalton to her Instagram Stories in May, while celebrating their wedding anniversary. Before that, she posted a photo with him around the holidays.
