Bea Alonzo is one actress whose love life has always been publicized—so it comes as no surprise that her fans and followers still have *something to say* about who she's dating until now. In a recent interview with Boy Abunda, the Start-Up PH star was asked about her thoughts on critics who are raising their eyebrows about her boyfriend Dominic Roque, making a case that she’s more popular and successful than him.
“Never akong tumingin sa estado ng isang lalaki kahit kailan,” Bea answered. “I mean, meron nga diyang iba ang ganda-ganda on paper, napagdaanan ko na yan, ang cute namin in paper pero hindi naman nagwo-work, di ba?
“Sa amin ni Dom, it was never an issue for me,” she says of their relationship.
Further, Bea explains that people have different standards when it comes to romantic relationships. “People, di ba, parang iba-iba yung basehan natin. People would always say to me, ‘Dapat nagde-date ka ng someone more successful than Dom or whatever.’ But how do you really measure success?
“Ako, ang gauge ko, I’m successful because I am happy,” she says.
She also shared that she feels “happiness and contentment” in her relationship with the actor-entrepreneur, and revealed that they have been talking about their plans for the future, including marriage! “Siyempre naman. I’m already in my 30s so hindi puwedeng hindi mapag-uusapan yan. We would talk about the future, definitely in building a family, ganyan.”
