ICYMI, Bea Alonzo and Dominic Roque have officially ended their engagement. The couple first shared news of their engagement on Wednesday, July 19, 2023. This followed two years after their 2021 California roadtrip, when Bea's sneaky post made them IG-offish.
To help you recall all the special moments between the two, here's a look back at their love story.

1. Vice Ganda officially introduced them at a restaurant in 2016.
"We weren’t introduced," Bea shared in her Cosmo Confessions episode. Apparently Dom was playing badminton during the Star Magic Sports Fest, and Bea found him cute! Years later in 2016, Vice Ganda *officially* introduced them at a restaurant and told Bea, "alam mo, sobrang crush ka nito." How did Bea react? "Ang tingin ko sa kanya, totoy. Akala ko little boy. 'Aww, ang cute mo naman'!" And that’s how they became friends!
2. Their 2019 Tokyo trip caused Bea to look at Dom in a different — aka romantic — light.
In 2019 during their trip to Japan, she started seeing him in a different light. Dominic invited Bea to go on a trip to Zambales with their friends, but Bea said she was going to Japan. "Awww, sama ako," Dominic told her, and Bea said, "Tara!" Dominic added: "Napaisip ako, 'Shet sasama ba 'ko? Sineryoso.'" He went to Tokyo with Bea and their friends, and that's when she realized she liked him romantically!
It was when they were having a conversation that Bea realized — she was looking at his lips! "Ang cute pala niya! Parang naisip ko, 'bakit ganito?'"
However, it actually took Bea more than a year of dating to feel comfortable, because she didn’t want to put a label on their relationship. She was afraid to make things official "kasi nakakahiyang paulit-ulit na nagkamali in front of the public."
3. They attended actress Beth Tamayo's baby shower together in July 2021.
Beth is Dominic's tita (his dad's sister!) and in July 2021 she was expecting her and husband Adam Hutchinson's first child. Bea and Dom made a stop in San Francisco to attend the special day. Beth's friends shared photos on social media and fans noticed a group picture with Bea and Dom, and even a video of the two joining in on a parlor game.
4. Dominic Roque celebrated his 31st birthday in the US among family and friends — including Bea!
Dom shared a birthday IG Story of him and Bea looking all cozy at night near a fire pit. It was official proof that the two were spending time together in the US — and it was uploaded on his birthday, too!
5. The couple became Instagram-official on July 24, 2021.
On July 24, Saturday, Bea hard-launched her and Dom's relationship on Instagram. The actress posted a bird's-eye-view of them taking in the sights at Yosemite National Park, tagged Dom in the photo, and captioned it with a *heart* emoji. So sweet!

On the same day, Bea also uploaded a clip of her and Dominic standing cheek-to-cheek at what looks like a bar via her Instagram Stories.
6. The couple spent some downtime together in Napa, California in August 2021.
#BeaDom eventually moved on from SF to Napa Valley. Since they were already IG-offish, Dom made all his followers kilig after he posted four photos of him and Bea sitting on a bench (it's giving us Notting Hill vibes!). He wrote in the caption, "Lover [musical notes emoji]"
In the comments section, Bea gushed and wrote, "Hi!!! [heart eyes emoji]", and many of their celebrity friends were teasingly supportive. Dom's tita Beth Tamayo even joked, "Tamis ng asukal sa Napa! Lol."
7. Bea uploaded two vlogs of their California roadtrip to her YouTube channel.
The August 14 vlog captures the first four days that Bea and Dom spent in the states. While there's not much dialogue, actions *definitely* speak louder than words, so prepare to feel kilig while watching it!

Part 2 of their Cali vlog series premiered on August 21, and we learned that Dom is really profesh when it came to shooting all their videos and pics. Plus, he is super maalaga with Bea. In fact, the actress has previously spoken about how Dom's love language is acts of service and admitted she isn't used to be taken care of that way. "He's very caring. He really takes care of me, hindi nga ako sanay, e."
During an August 2021 interview with PEP, Bea shared that she and Dominic officially became a couple this year: "Few months lang talaga kami naging official, but we have been dating. Pero yung officially, few months ago lang."
8. Bea shared she considers Dom to be "husband material" in September 2021.
During her guesting at The Boobay And Tekla Show on Sunday, September 12, the actress was asked if she can see herself marrying Dominic in the future. "Oo naman," she confirmed. "At this point in my life, hindi ako papasok sa isang relasyon na hindi naman seryoso. Seryoso naman talaga so oo, husband material. We're still getting to know each other on a deeper level. Para sa akin kasi, ayokong magpa-pressure just because nagkaka-edad na at lahat ng kaibigan nagpapakasal na. May sarili akong timeline," she added.
9. Dom surprised Bea with a cute puppy as a birthday gift!
On October 17, 2021, Bea celebrated her 34th birthday in Batangas. "Here is a picture of me, on the eve of my birthday, bare, no makeup, with my hair still wet, being surprised with a cake and flowers by a person so special to me," Bea captioned her post on Instagram. "He even managed to surprise me with a puppy and went out of his way to prepare a relaxing weekend getaway for me in Batangas."

Dominic gifted his girlfriend an adorable brown puppy, as seen in Bea's Instagram stories. She eventually named him Chico.
10. In November 2021, the couple exchanged 'I love yous' on a throwback post from their spontaneous Tokyo trip In 2019.
On November 3, Dom shared a candid pic of him and Bea seated facing each other on a random Tokyo sidewalk and captioned the photo, "5am 110319 before this day ends, i just wanna say… i love you… [red heart emoji"

11. Bea and Dom welcomed the New Year together.
In the actress' vlog uploaded on January 8, Bea, Dominic, and their family welcomed 2022 at a beach resort in Pangasinan. The group sat down for an intimate dinner by the beach, and ended the night with a fireworks display — during which Bea and Dominic shared a kiss. (Aww!)

12. On January 8, 2022, Bea posted a touching anniversary message on Instagram.
Bea captioned the sweet photo on Instagram with an even sweeter message: "It took so much patience from you, but here we are. And I have to say, and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve ever made [heart emoji] Happy anniversary, hun [heart emoji]."
13. Bea Alonzo uploaded a Valentine's Day 2022 vlog where she and Dom opened up about their relationship.
Titled "Finally! Sharing with you Our Love Story #BeaDom," the couple revealed that they first crossed paths in 2016. Dom admitted that he already had a crush on Bea back then. "Kasama ko si Vice [Ganda]. Sabi ko sakaniya na, 'Pakilala niya ako sayo,'" he recounted. "Crush lang pero wala naman expectations at that time."
Bea also shared her first impression of Dom: "Ang tingin ko sakaniya nung una kami nagkakilala—kasi sinabi pa ni Vice, 'Uy, crush na crush ka nitong alaga ko'—iniisip ko talaga noon, parang, 'He [looks] way younger than his actual age,' but he's turning 32 this year, guys." She continued, "Back then, iniisip ko parang seven or eight years older ako than him so ang tingin ko sakanya bagets." Apparently, Bea also made the first move — she kissed Dom first!
14. In March 2022, Bea and Dom attended a wedding together — and Bea couldn't stop gushing over her date!
At the wedding of Maverick Del Moro and Chanelle Collings (sister of Christiana Collings), Bea was a bridesmaid (aka part of the "Bride Tribe"), while Dom was one of Mav's groomsmen. The actress captioned her Instagram Story video "gwapo ng date ko," and we have to agree. But tbh, our attention was more on Bea's lock screen: we're legit *screaming* at the near-kiss!
15. In a December 2022 interview, Dom shared that he and Bea have discussed having a family together.
In an interview with PEP.ph, the actor revealed that he sees himself having a future with his girlfriend and they even talk about their ~*dream wedding*~ together.
"Napag-uusapan na namin, 'Ilang anak ang gusto mo? Saan titira? Saan mag-aaral?' Dream wedding? Basta napag-usapan na namin yung mga ganung bagay," he shares. "Last year, this year, pinag-uusapan namin kung saan gagawin. Gusto ba namin beach? Gusto ba namin abroad? Gusto ba namin dito?"
16. In January 2023, Bea defended Dom from bashers who said he was someone "below her league."
In an interview with Boy Abunda, Bea was asked about her thoughts on those criticizing her relationship. "Never akong tumingin sa estado ng isang lalaki kahit kailan," Bea answered. "I mean, meron nga diyang iba ang ganda-ganda on paper, napagdaanan ko na yan, ang cute namin in paper pero hindi naman nagwo-work, di ba? Sa amin ni Dom, it was never an issue for me," she clarified.
"Ako, ang gauge ko, I'm successful because I am happy," she stated.
17. The couple sparked engagement rumors due to a cozy set of beach photos shared in June 2023.
Their dreamy candlelit dinner date by the beach in Amanpulo raised eyebrows (and hopes!), with a breathtaking sunset serving as the backdrop for a potential proposal.
"Actually, mukhang engagement talaga," Dominic agreed in an interview. "Pero it was 2021 pa, yung picture namin na 'yon. Late post lang."
"Pero that doesn’t mean [we] were engaged in 2021," Bea clarified. "Yes. We’re not engaged." Entertainment journalist MJ Marfori then asked, "So ano yung next question? The next question is, 'Will [the engagement] be next?'"
Dominic teasingly replied, "Yeah, it will. It will be next. Soon."
18. Dom shared more throwback photos from their 2021 US road trip on Instagram.
On June 16, 2023, Dom took to Instagram to share more photos from their California road trip vacation together. Calling his photo album 'California dump 2021', he uploaded a total of ten pics.
19. Bea and Dom announced their engagement on Wednesday, July 19, 2023.
In a sentimental Instagram post titled "07.18.23 Sunset" the actress shared the happy news with her 11M Instagram followers.
"I didn’t want that moment to end. I want this real thing to happen forever… and right then there… In front of the people we love… we decided on forever.." BRB, just bawling our eyes out over here *sobs*.
Many of their celebrity friends like Angelica Panganiban, Maine Mendoza (who is also tying the knot soon), Miles Ocampo, Maymay Entrata, Jericho Rosales, Iza Calzado, Julie Anne San Jose, Anne Curtis, Gabbi Garcia, Heart Evangelista, Maja Salvador (who is soon-to-be married herself!), Coleen Garcia, Pauleen Luna, Pat Sugui, Vina Morales, Andrea Brillantes, and more have been commenting their congratulations in the replies.
Vice, the person who introduced them, also shared her support: "Yahoooooooo!!!! Mga bata ko yan o!!!!! I’m very happy for u and Dom! Congratulations! Love u both!"

20. Talk show host Boy Abunda announced that Bea and Dom broke up on February 6, 2024.
"Did they call off the wedding? Yes," the seasoned host confirmed on his show Fast Talk With Boy Abunda. "Kung halimbawa, maayos ang dalawang ito. From my sources, sigurado ako: 'pag nagkaayos si Bea at saka si Dominic, no wedding is going to happen this year."

21. Bea and Dominic officially confirm their separation on February 11, 2024.
"After much thought, consideration, and care, we have mutually decided to amicably end our engagement," they stated on Instagram on Sunday, February 11, 2024. "We kindly request to give us the privacy we need as we navigate our future lives with respect, kindness, compassion, and dignity. Thank you for your understanding and support."
