Congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds! Ben&Ben's keyboardist Patricia Lasaten and bassist Agnes Reoma just got married. They had the sweetest wedding in Los Angeles, California after their engagement in 2022. They've been together for seven (!) years.
On Instagram, Pat shared their happiest moment writing, "I married my best friend. It was a perfect day." In attendance of course, were their loved ones, including their Ben&Ben bandmates. Paolo and Miguel Benjamin, Jam Villanueva, Toni Muñoz, and Andrew De Pano made sure to shower the couple with their support. In fact, Toni and Andrew served as the couple's photographers, awww.

Pat, on Instagram, also added, "There is so much to be said about yesterday, but one of the most important things that will stay with me is this; we're so blessed to be loved like this by our families and friends." Jokingly, she ended her post, writing, "I love you forever, Agnes Reoma. Tipid tipid na ulit tayo."
Their wedding announcement was also immediately met with well wishes from their industry peers and fans alike. These include Saab Magalona, Mimiyuuuh, and photographers Shaira Lunan and Geloy Concepcion.

Ben&Ben's Pat Lasaten And Agnes Reoma's Relationship
PatNes has been somewhat of the Internet's parents. Sharing more than just their music, the pair also openly advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community in the Philippines. In June, they shared images of them attending the Pride March, writing, "Happy Pride! Patapos na ang pride month pero tuloy-tuloy kang ang paglaban para sa pantay-pantay na karapatan. Pride is all year-round! #MasHappyPagMayEquality #HappyEquality #PassSOGIEBillNow."

In 2022, Ben&Ben also released their song "Paninindigan Kita," to celebrate and cap off Pride Month. The music video also featured Pat and Agnes. Aww, we love supportive bandmates and allies!
In that same year, PatNes shared their late engagement announcement on Instagram. Agnes wrote, "A lot of surprises and blessings happened this 2022, but this is my favorite. Love you forever, Patfly." She ended the post writing, "PatNes niyo, engaged na."

Same Sex Marriage in the Philippines
As of writing, same sex marriage is not yet legal in the Philippines. However, in June of 2023, a Right to Care Card was introduced in Quezon City. This allows members of the LGBTQIA+ community to make healthcare related decisions for their partners through a Special Power of Attorney. Soon, the RTC card may extend nationwide through the Right to Care House Bill introduced by Akbayan Partylist representative Perci Cendaña and one of the program's main proponents Adrian de Guzman of MullenLowe TRYENA.
In Asia, there are two countries who have legalized same sex marriage so far. Taiwan was the first country to do so in May 2019 with Thailand following in June 2024.
