Imagine meeting someone and hitting it off on the first night you met. Seems impossible right? Well, not for Bianca King who admitted going official with her now-husband Ralph Wintle on the same night they first met!
Bianca seized the moment at her closest friend's wedding. The friend in question is Iza Calzado, who eventually became her sister-in-law. In a fun story-telling of the two friends, they talked about how Bianca and Ralph met during the beach wedding of Iza and Ralph's brother, Ben Wintle.
Why strategizing in relationships is a must!
Bianca happily revealed that she *exerted* all effort to distance Ralph from all the other single ladies during that night. She even told a friend back then how certain she was that Ralph would be her next boyfie.
She narrated, "May mga ibang single girls na doon na apparently in the previous day inilalako na rin sa kanya. So, after ng speech na 'yon gumanon na ako sa kanya sa dance floor, binakuran ko siya. I made sure na walang ibang single girls na makalapit, akin na 'to."
It seems that Bianca's efforts and manifesting powers worked as they hit it off that same night and shared an understanding that they are now off to the next stage—which was to exclusively date!
"Long story short, from that point on, parang naging kami na 'nung night na 'yun. Naging kami na. Parang meron kaming understanding," Bianca shared in an episode of Magandang Buhay.
Seizing the moment for that first kiss!
Though it wasn't her plan to leave the wedding reception as a "taken" woman, she knew she had to make proper use of that little amount of time together at such a romantic place. Iza claimed that she was quite shocked to see the two of them getting clingy with each other during their wedding party.
"Nakita ko, ay itong dalawang 'to..." Iza mentioned before Bianca completed her remark and said, "Nasa beach, naghahalikan na..." Bianca couldn't help but utter a line for her defense, "Girl I was 33, okay. Seize the moment, seize the day."
Aiming at Mr. Full-Package
She had her *heart eyes* locked on Ralph, ever since the then-bachelor gave a cheesy yet romantic speech that everyone adored. "Actually 'nung dumating ako 'dun sa wedding, you have to meet Ralph... So 'nung buong gabi na 'yun I was observing him na. So 'nung nag-speech siya, ayon may hearts na ako sa mata ko," Bianca recounted.
What made Bianca lock her heart for Ralph even after one meeting? She says he already saw Ralph as the "full package." Meeting Iza's hubby, Ben and his family first contributed to her attraction and comfort with Ralph.
"Alam ko na eh, kasi 'yung package, lahat. The full package kahit na hindi ko pa siya masyadong kakilala. The fact na kapatid ni Ben, nakikita ko 'yung parents niya, 'yung family. May idea na ako na good family," she said.
The real deal: secured!
ICYDK, everything that was mentioned above only happened on December 19, 2018. Just a few days after the wedding, Ralph asked Iza and Ben if he could bring Bianca to their annual Christmas gathering. Right then and there, Iza already knew that the two really *clicked* as a couple.
"'Nung 25, pasko, so sabi samin ni Ralph noon, 'is it okay if I invite Bianca?' Tapos kami, nagtinginan na kami nina Ben. Kasi normally ano lang talaga, family affair 'yun... Siyempre sabi ko okay lang, you have to ask mom and dad. And then we knew already, ay click 'yung dalawa," Iza recalled.
Afterward, Bianca and Ralph went on a long-distance relationship for a while before they tied the knot on June 5, 2021—and it was just a simple yet romantic wedding in their living room! At present, they are already parents to their beautiful daughter, Sadie Harlow.
