It seems that Charlie Dizon and Carlo Aquino successfully won the parents' seal of approval for their relationship.
The couple spent the holidays of 2023 in Los Angeles, California where Charlie's family resides. In a quick chat with PEP.ph, the actress proudly mentioned how her family adores Carlo.
"Ay, love na love nila si Carlo!" Charlie declared with a smile.
Apart from Carlo spending the holidays with her family, Charlie revealed that the said trip was extra special. For the first time in 12 years, she celebrated Christmas with her complete family.
"Sobrang saya kasi nandun 'yung family ko. First time namin nag-Christmas na kumpleto talaga in 12 years, kaya iba itong trip na ito." She added, "And of course, kasama ko si Carlo. Sobrang saya na magkakasama lahat in one place lahat ng mahal ko sa buhay."
Carlo's relationship with Charlie's family
Charlie noted that it wasn't the first time that Carlo met her relatives. The actress had already introduced him to her parents back in 2022 when they did the Star Magic U.S. Tour. Carlo also had the chance to bond with her family, even without her.
"And there's one time na may U.S. tour si Carlo pumunta siya mag-isa. Na-meet naman niya," Charlie shared.
Charlie's reaction to negative comments about her relationship with Carlo
Dating rumors between the two began sometime in 2022, but it was only in 2023 that the couple confirmed their exclusive relationship. Netizens have been critical of their romance, with Carlo being involved in numerous controversial breakups before Charlie.
One of which would be Carlo's former relationship with Trina Candaza. Carlo and Trina are parents to their pretty daughter, Enola Mithi. Trina had opened up about their split in an emotional interview with Ogie Diaz in January 2023, wherein she refuted Carlo's earlier claims that he was not given access to her daughter.

"Hindi ko ipinagdadamot [ang anak ko], it's just that... hindi siya pumupunta," she reveals. "He knows kung nasaan kami, and he knows na very welcome siya doon sa bahay kung saan kami nag-Christmas. For me, it's his choice kung gusto niya ba talagang makasama yung anak niya." Later in 2023, the two would be seen *co-parenting* for their daughter.
Meanwhile, Charlie has been one unbothered lover towards naysayers criticizing their relationship, saying that others' opinions will never be in her control. "At the end of the day, masaya kami. Kaya bakit ko pa iisipin 'yung iba. I only control what I can control—so just myself," Charlie declared.
