Weddings are held to celebrate the union of two hearts. Usually attended by their loved ones, a couple may opt to have a simple and intimate service, a grand ceremony—or in some cases, couples decide to do both! (like Maja Salvador and Rambo Nunez.)

2. Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo
Wedding Date: November 15, 2021
The wedding of Jennylyn Mercado and Dennis Trillo was one of the most intimate matrimonial ceremonies among celebrity couples. The public expected them to hold the usual grand wedding, as they were one of the longtime real-life celebrity couples at the time.
Nevertheless, Jennylyn and Dennis proved that there's nothing wrong with holding a minimalist ceremony. Attended by their closest family and friends, the lovebirds tied the knot in a civil wedding held in a studio. Fun fact: the venue for their matrimony is owned by Kathryn Bernardo!
The celebrity couple wore matching white suits for the special occasion. Talking to Preview.ph, Jennylyn admitted that she had deemed grand weddings to be impractical at the time. Back then, the world was still shifting to the new normal in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. "Siyempre sa panahon ngayon, ang hirap magka-regular wedding na malaki, na maraming tao. Unang-una, hindi safe and hindi na rin practical sa panahon ngayon." The two dated for almost eight years before choosing to tie the knot.
