Heart Evangelista and Chiz Escudero renewed their wedding vows on February 15, 2024, exactly nine years after they got hitched in 2015 at Balesin Island. The renewal of wedding vows was also held in the same dreamy location. The couple also tapped the same suppliers for their 2024 celebration: Badang Rueda as event stylist and florist, Pat Dy as a photographer, Bob Nicolas as a videographer, and Albert Kurniawan as the bride's makeup artist.
The creatives and location may be the same, but there were differences between the two ceremonies. Although both occasions were certainly filled with love and joy, here are some elements that changed:

For starters, Heart's bridal beauty was way different than her 2015 look. To refresh your memory, Heart chose to wear her hair in a bun with a white beaded headpiece. For her makeup, MUA and friend Albert Kurniawan emphasized her bold brows and defined her chinita eyes. To balance the MOTD, Heart opted for a nude glossy lip.

For her 2024 vow renewal, Albert created a soft glam makeup look on the bride. Heart had lush lashes, thick winged eyeliner, and glowing skin. Albert chose peachy hues to enhance Heart's facial features.

According to Heart's interview with Harper's Bazaar Singapore, her 2024 vow renewal ceremony was more intimate than her 2015 wedding. Chiz and Heart only invited 50 attendees who have "played important roles" in their marriage.

The couple initially planned to renew their vows during their fifth anniversary, but "life got in the way." They decided to finally do it in their ninth year. "It just feels like the perfect time to do it," Heart told Harper's Bazaar SG.

Both ceremonies were held in Balesin but not in the same spots!
Chiz and Heart have always found Balesin to be their sweet escape so it's no surprise they've chosen this location for their destination weddings. The 2015 wedding was held in Balesin Spa, with the reception at the Toscana Village. This time around, the renewal of vows took place at the Royal Villa.

In 2015, Heart's parents did not attend the wedding because they were reportedly not in favor of their marriage. Proof that time heals all wounds, Heart's mom, Cecile Ongpauco celebrated her daughter's renewal of vows at Balesin—she even walked Heart down the aisle! (Heart's dad Reynaldo, although absent from the ceremony, has become close with Chiz as seen on Heart's past Sorsogon vlogs.)

Heart has been a fashionista ever since. For her 2015 wedding, Heart wore a gown from Ezra Santos, a Dubai-based Filipino designer. Her bridal look was all about vintage romance.

Of course, the global fashionista ~*served*~ on her vow renewal! Heart chose a custom Elie Saab couture gown. According to her Harper's Bazaar's Singapore interview, the couture house has a special place in her heart.
"Elie Saab has a special place in my heart—it was actually one of the first shows I ever attended in fashion week. I’ve always loved their dreamy and romantic creations, and when I saw the custom couture dress, I knew that was it," she shared.
The beige dress had intricate beading, leading us to think that this took multiple weeks to make! The dress had a veil, an unexpected twist from the usual sheer long train veils we usually see on brides.
Heart also wore a bespoke necklace which was made of diamonds she had collected since she was young! "Some of them were gifts from special people like my mom, dad, and Chiz," she shared in her HB SG interview. Heart saw it as like putting together all the special milestones in her life and wearing it on her neck.
