Jericho, or Echo, is the ultimate heartthrob—but he has been off the market for a long time now. The esteemed actor has been married to Kim Jones since May 1, 2014. ICYDK, model-blogger Kim is an Australian fashion icon.
The two have been privately living their life together as husband and wife, with few photos posted on social media. However, some netizens have been speculating that they have ended their marriage journey. The couple have kept silent regarding the rumors, and since their 10th anniversary is coming up we decided to take a look back at how Echo and Kim's romance blossomed from acquaintances to lovers.
UPDATE: As of Monday, January 29, Jericho and Kim have gone their separate ways, according to an official statement released by the couple's close friend (which you can read below).

2011: Jericho and Kim meet through a mutual friend.
Jericho had a series of heartbreaks in his past, and he once admitted that he didn't want to date anymore. He was done with relationships, until one of his friends forced him to meet Kim.
In an interview with Boy Abunda (uploaded in 2013), Jericho recalled going to the date organized by his friend and meeting Kim for the very first time. "I said I don't wanna date anymore. I need a break. And then they showed me a picture... (I said) sige na nga [laughs]" Jericho said in an interview. It was Kim's photo that was shown to him.
They didn't hit off at first. There were a couple of misunderstandings and not-so-cool moments that happened between Jericho and Kim during their first date. "I didn't understand his jokes at first, and then he didn't understand me because my accent was so thick," Kim mentioned.
But for Jericho, he was mesmerized by Kim's beauty from the get-go. "'Nung nakita ko siya, sabi ko, mas maganda pa siya sa personal, ang ganda ng mata," he shared.
2011: First awkward moment together.
We've discovered a cute thing that Jericho and Kim shared in the above-mentioned interview with Tito Boy. Apparently, during their first date, they had a very awkward moment together. They recalled that they were both surprised to ride in the same car that night, and Echo said, "I told her don't worry, I won't kiss you, I'm a nice guy. I won't attack you or take advantage of you, just sit there." Afterward, it took two months before Kim agreed to another date with Jericho.
2011: Echo and Kim's first beach trip.
Their second date appeared to be a trip to the beach. Kim revealed that it was also the time when she saw Echo in a different light. They had surfing lessons together and talked about *a lot* of things during their drive back home. "That's when I first started to have dreamy eyes for him," Kim admitted.
2011-2013: It's their official boyfriend-girlfriend era!
Kim and Echo spent eight months in the get-to-know phase of their relationship. Then he decided to tell her the magic words, "I love you."
August 4, 2013: Kim and Echo are engaged!
Jericho popped the question to Kim on her birthday (August 4th!) at the New Life Church in Alabang. The heartthrob proudly shared the happy news on his Instagram saying, "I love you, Miss Jones. You are the love of my life. Thank you for saying YES (to forever) to me. Happy birthday! God is amazing! Yeeeeeehaaa! We are #engaged!!!!"

May 1, 2014: Echo and Kim get married in Boracay!
Nearly three years after their first date, the two tied the knot in an intimate beach wedding in Boracay. Kim looked stunning in her Vania Romoff wedding dress! Here is their romantic wedding video produced by Bob Nicolas.
December 2017: The couple squash a netizen's comment questioning why Kim is not yet pregnant.
Three years into their marriage, some intrusive netizens began questioning them about having a child already. One person left a mean comment on one of Echo's posts stating, "Seriously? Can't even [sic] with you all the time 'coz she's busy traveling and fulfilling her dreams. If she's a wonder woman for you @jerichorosalesofficial she should get pregnant and be a real woman!!! Would you agree @kimcamjones?"
Jericho directly responded to the comment, "I don't think getting preggy and having babies is the only measure for being a woman... I love that my wife travels and works for her dreams. Makes me really proud. Have the best holiday season and peace and love to you from us."
September 2018: Echo and Kim attend New York Fashion Week.
As part of Echo's "better husband project," he flew to New York with Kim to attend New York Fashion Week—not to be the star, but as his wife's best assistant.
Jericho kept Kim's schedules, organized her Uber rides, and helped her steam her clothes for all the fashion events. The Internet recognized his efforts and dubbed him the most supportive husband ever. "Keep doing what you do. I got your back. (And bags) #KimsBestAssistantEver," he told Kim in an Instagram post.

November 2020: Together they survive a great storm.
In November 2020, some parts of Metro Manila were badly hit by the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses. Kim and Echo put their surfing skills and surfboards to good use and assisted rescue operations within their vicinity in Marikina City.
Due to the lack of flotation devices available, ABS-CBN News reported that the couple brought out their surfboards to check on residents in their village who were trapped inside their homes and had yet to be evacuated.
October 2021: Echo and Kim make headlines for their project for victims of Typhon Ulysses.
A year after the onslaught of Typhoon Ulysses, Echo and Kim, together with his manager Marinez Elizalde, spearheaded a housing project to support families affected by the deadly typhoon.
"We're happy to share that with the help of one of the best titas of Manila (@marinezelizalde), our friends too many to mention, and you who donated to the cause, Ulysses Relief Fund was also able to help build 20 houses for 20 families to Project Salinong in Baggao, Cagayan!" the actor shared on Instagram.
February 2022: They become proud owners of a new home in New York!
Echo and Kim became official New Yorkers in 2022 after they shared a glimpse of what's it like to live in the Big Apple. The actor gave a *sneak peek* of their new house in New York City and called it "Bagong haybol sa Big Apple."
It wouldn't have been a classic Echo post without his punchlines. So for this milestone, he playfully described their home situation in NYC: "Kim on Google Maps: Saan ang palengke? Me sa bintana: anong oras dadaan ang taho?"
September 2022: The first wave of breakup rumors between the two surface.
Just months after their New York moment, the couple faced a series of breakup rumors. But just looking at their respective Instagram feeds, Echo and Kim are not the most PDA-filled when it comes to their romance. In fact, they keep their relationship very low-key and private. Perhaps that is why netizens couldn't help but go crazy over unconfirmed news that the two had separated.
During the height of speculations on their relationship, Kim posted the sweetest birthday message for her husband. It was Kim's direct way of silencing the rumor mill once and for all. "Birthday boy in his natural habitat. This year is yours, @jerichorosalesofficial," she wrote, sharing a series of images featuring Echo at the beach.
In June 2023, Echo also responded to the rumors explaining, "People are entitled to their own opinion. I'm really not that type of person na I really have to explain myself to anyone. What you see is what you get. As long as [we] live in peace, in love, and respect, yun na ang importante sa akin."
September 2023: Jericho and Kim attend the ABS-CBN Ball together.
Allegations about their breakup continued, but the couple seemed to be unbothered by it. In fact, they attended the ABS-CBN Ball 2023 together! The fashionista duo *conquered* the red carpet. Kim slayed in an elegant black one-shoulder dress and heels (we adore her statement earring!), while Echo sported a classy gray suit and matching black tie.
December 30, 2023: The breakup rumors between Echo and Kim continue to circulate.
They say 2023 was the year of celebrity breakups, and just before it ended showbiz personality Ogie Diaz reported that a "guwapong aktor" and his "magandang misis" had already gone their separate ways.
Ogie dropped some clues about the rumored couple, who were said to be together for nine years already and have no kids. Some netizens linked Ogie's hints to Echo and Kim, while others refused to believe it.

Amid the persistent breakup rumors, the two exchanged *several* supportive comments on Instagram.
On Christmas day, Kim shared snaps of their scrabble night, with a lighthearted caption saying, "May no family bonds be broken over scrabble victories." To which Echo jokingly commented, "Try to fake lose for once, Kim. Your mom is still on the game table wearing tears on her face."
The saga of their Instagram humor did not end there as Kim had a witty clapback to her husband's comment once again. In the comments section of her celebratory year-end post, Jericho wrote, "Well done, Kimberley and 2023. Well done. Now have fun dancing with 2024." She responded with, "The interpretive dance renaissance."
January 2024: Echo and Kim welcome the New Year while moving on from past breakup rumors.
As they welcome the year 2024, Echo and Kim continue to share wholesome conversations via IG comments. As if to hype up Echo's New Year's post, Kim responded with, "Pizza nights are top-tier nights." The post in question was another one of Echo's humorous photo albums commemorating the year 2024: "The magic number is 2024. Happy first #leftovers day of the year! Busy pa rin ang lababo."

January 29, 2023: A source close to the couple confirm their breakup
On Monday, January 29, Ricco Ocampo gave an official statement to ABS-CBN News. Ricco, who is also a godfather of the celebrity couple, said Jericho and Kim have been separated since 2019.
"While the friendship between the two remains, they have decided it is time to lead separate lives. They are encouraging each other to grow, albeit in different directions. It was a mutual decision, an amicable separation, dealt with grace and maturity by both parties," he revealed.
