We'll never be the same after Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla confirmed that they've officially broken up after 11 years.

Amid rumors as to how long they've parted ways romantically, fans have also been scouring their past interviews in the hopes of finding clues.
It was just a year ago, in 2022, when KathNiel wrapped up their massively successful series 2 Good 2 Be True, and a clip of the couple has resurfaced, one wherein they were asked to tackle the topic of loyalty.
During the press conference for the show, Kathryn and Daniel were asked, "What is loyalty for you?" to which the couple had startlingly dissimilar answers.
"Loyalty for me is being contented," Kathryn said after they both paused for a few seconds to think of their answers. "Because if you're contented, you won't look for any more person, right? So loyalty equals your contentment."
Daniel, meanwhile, replied, "Alam mo kung sinong pinaka-loyal? Yung aso ko, si Summer. 'Yon yung pinaka-loyal. Do'n ko makikita yung definition ng loyalty na kahit ano mang pinagdadaanan ko ngayon, kung ano mang sitwasyon ng emosyon ko ngayon, kung sino ako ngayon, tatanggapin ako nang buong-buo. 'Yon ang loyalty. Walang judgment kung sino ka."
Daniel sighed after his response, looking at Kathryn, who smiled back at him and gently patted his arm.
Could they have been going through a rough patch already at the time? For now, we can only guess. Even if they're no longer together (sob), we hope they can become good friends.
