Ten years full of love, laughter, and everything in between—that's what it took for Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles to start a new chapter of their relationship finally. It was worth the wait as the two joyfully shared the news of their engagement to the public.
To note, no amount of time can completely indicate the right timing to ask someone's hand for marriage. However, for Kim and Jerald, it looked like this year was perfect for beginning something new in their relationship. This 2024 was exactly ten years after they first met...and well, when romantic sparks between the two of them started.
In an Instagram post, the actress-comedienne shared the happy news of their engagement along with some really sweet and nostalgic photos! She captioned, "Back to where we first met, the exact spot where it all started...it has always been a 'YES', and will forever choose you. I love you, @jeraldnapoles."
Apparently, Jerald decided to do his surprise marriage proposal at the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA). It was the place where he and Kim first met! ICDYK, Kim and Jerald are also theater artists. And the two first worked together in the theater show, Rak of Aegis, in 2014. In the show's story, Tolits (Jerald) is a hardworking suitor of Aileen (Kim).
In 2014, Kim and Jerald did a scene when Tolits was kneeling down in front of Aileen, asking for her hand. Back then, the two were purely friends and colleagues. Now, 10 years later, Jerald reenacts their scene in front of an emotional Kim and pops the question—right at the same spot where they acted as Tolits and Aileen. How romantic!!!
The PETA theater was full of bright lights, sunflowers, and a really beautiful "Will You Marry Me?" signage that just screams romance. Some of Kim and Jerald's closest friends and family were also present to witness their newest milestone as a couple.

Even if the two are both comedy stars and in public, they are really known for their chill personality, Kim admitted that their relationship was never perfect. There had been a lot of times when their love for each other was tested by a lot of factors in life.
"Dumating po sa point na parang tine-test 'yung relationship namin. Within the years na magkasama po kami, ilang beses kaming nagkahiwalay..." she once shared in an interview, noting how they managed to get through their fallouts.
The two first became best friends before they decided to take things to the next level, which was to exclusively date each other. But another cute thing about them is that it wasn't Jerald who took the first move—it was Kim.
The actress-comedienne revealed in a Magandang Buhay interview that she was the one who pursued her longtime partner. They have been together for nearly ten years already, six of which were their official girlfriend-boyfriend era.
"Ako po nanligaw. [laughs] Gwapo 'di ba?" she jokingly admitted. Kim and Jerald started as best friends and later on, upgraded their relationship to romantic partners. Kim recalled, "Para nga po siyang hindi ligaw, parang pareho kayo ng goals in life."
As they maintained their strong bond as boyfriend-girlfriend, the two have also continued working hard for their careers in showbiz. In fact, they have top-billed some films together including, Seoulmeyt (2024), and Ang Babaeng Walang Pakiramdam (2021). Recently, the two were also part of the comedy reality series, Last One Laughing.
