Congratulations are in order for Kristel Fulgar who gave her sweet yes to her Korean boyfriend, Ha Suhyuk.
The former child star turned content creator just shared the wonderful memory via her YouTube channel, KrisTell Vlogs. The title of their engagement vlog, Forever starts now. It was a 25-minute vlog showing how Suhyuk prepared for his marriage proposal, and Kristel's longtime best friends also led it.
To begin his simple yet heartfelt proposal, Suhyuk serenaded Kristel with "Sudden Shower," one of the OST songs from the beloved K-drama Lovely Runner. Then, in Korean, he professed his love beforehe knelt down on one knee. "I always knew that my baba would be the last woman that I would love. Now, if it weren't because of you, I wouldn't know how I would live. You will be my last love. And I'm sure that you will be the only one that I want to love forever. Also, I want to have a happy family with you," Suhyuk said, according to the vlog's subtitles.
Kristel didn’t hesitate to say "yes" to Suhyuk, embracing him tightly and laughing with pure joy over their engagement. The proposal took place at a rooftop venue in South Korea, witnessed by Kristel’s mother and best friends.
Before the big moment, Suhyuk gave a glimpse of the preparations, including the setup process and the special moment when he first revealed the engagement ring to Kristel’s best friend. The vlog also featured a Q&A segment, where Suhyuk shared the reasons that led him to take this meaningful step with Kristel.
The question read, "When did you start to think about marrying Kristel?" Suhyuk openly responded, "Around January to February 2024—on the day I shared my past history with her. I had a very hard life when I was younger. She encouraged me and respects me. My life was very hard. My personality is not bad. I tried to improve my life."
He continued, "After sharing that story, I decided that I want to marry her." Suhyuk also expressed how much he adores Kristel's playful character and that he longs to take care of the 30-year-old vlogger in the future.

ICYDK, Suhyuk is Kristel's first boyfriend—and with marriage now in the picture, it looks like he’ll also be her last. ;) In a vlog, Kristel shared that she met Suhyuk sometime in 2022, but it wasn't until 2024 that they got serious about dating.
"Meron akong friend na pinakilala sa akin si Su-hyuk. Matagal na siya dito sa Korea nakatira at kilala niya si Su-hyuk na mabait and that friend kilalang-kilala rin ako and that friend alam niya rin 'yung personality ko, and alam niya rin kung ano ang gusto ko sa guy and so siya 'yung nagpakilala sa aming dalawa," Kristel said in the vlog, recalling how she met Suhyuk just months after praying for a boyfriend.
In November 2024, in a vlog titled, Finally, my first boyfriend, Kristel revealed to the world how Suhyuk converted to Iglesia Ni Cristo—her religion. This was the sign that confirmed she could officially date the Korean national. Since then, Kristel and Suhyuk have been open about their relationship.
