Leila Alcasid and Mito Fabie are taking their relationship to the next level! The two got engaged over the weekend, and Leila shared the happy news on her Instagram account.
Still on cloud nine, Leila posted the cutest pics of her and Mito, also known as the rapper Curtismito (formerly Curtismith tho), as a celebratory post to their latest relationship milestone. Leila captioned her post with, "the most special anniversary gift." So, it seems that Mito popped the question to Leila on their anniversary! ICYDK, Leila and Mito have been together for six years now.
Among the first ones to comment on her IG post is her dad, Ogie Alcasid. The singer-songwriter expressed her happiness for her daughter and soon-to-be son-in-law. He said, "The Lord bless you both. I am truly beyond happy for you two. Love you [insert three heart emojis] congratulations."
Other celebrity friends of Leila gathered in her comments section and conveyed their excitement for the couple. March Cosmo cover star Iza Calzado was spotted congratulating Leila and Mito. (The president) Nadine Lustre was also in the comment section in high spirits for the newly engaged pair. She wrote in capital letters, "CONGRATULATIONS!!!" Fellow musician Kiana Valenciano also sent in her best wishes for the soon-to-be-wedded couple.
Ogie Alcasid on Leila Alcasid and Mito Fabie's relationship
Ogie has been a supportive dad to Leila and Mito's relationship—except when Leila and Mito began their live-in setup. But that was during the early stages of their cohabitation thingy.
Admittedly, Ogie was not in favor of them living together before marriage. It was in 2023 that it was publicly disclosed that the couple has been living together amid the pandemic. Despite his initial thoughts on her daughter's sudden decision to live with her boyfie, Ogie respected Leila's decision.

"I told her, 'I didn't like what you did'," Ogie shared in an interview. "Because it's something that I wish you talked to me about before. But that's already done. Nandiyan na 'yan."
He recalled how he told Leila to stick with her decision afterwards, "'So you want to be an adult? Then, face life like an adult,' And I'm very proud that she doesn't even ask for money from me at all."
In a separate September 2023 interview with PEP.ph, Leila had nothing but praise for her dad. At the time, Leila clarified that everything's good between her and her father
Speaking to PEP,ph, Leila stated, "He respects (my) decision, my autonomy as a person, as an adult. We're really good now." The celebrity daughter added, "I mean, he has every right to feel the way he feels. And we talked about it, and there was definitely a little bit of misunderstanding way back then."
