For some people, cheating is a no-no when it comes to relationships. Loisa Andalio, however, has a different take.
In an interview, Loisa openly revealed that she chose to forgive her on-screen and real-life partner Ronnie Alonte after he cheated on her not just once, but several times in the past.
"Para sa akin, choice talaga ‘yun eh. Kasi wala rin naman talagang perfect na tao. Kahit ako, hindi rin naman ako perfect...Kaya nga sabi nila ‘di ba, ‘I’d rather have bad times with you, than good times with someone else," the actress remarked.
Loisa firmly believes that lovers should endure trying times together, and this means she must learn how to forgive.
The former Pinoy Big Brother housemate explained that forgiving her partner brought her peace, and that Ronnie deserved it too. "Kasi [yung forgiveness], para sa atin din naman ‘yun e. ‘Pag pinatawad natin yung tao, magkakaroon tayo ng peace sa sarili natin. And in fairness naman sa kanya, deserving naman siya,” she said.
Loisa also lauded Ronnie for admitting his shortcomings, instead of denying and hiding it. "Yung point na inamin niya yung pagkakamali niya, ‘yun yung malaking bagay... So mas mahirap patawarin yung mga huling huli mo na, todo deny pa. Pero siya aminado siya, at hindi na niya uulitin, eh ‘di okay tayo."
Since the couple has survived this major setback in their almost seven-year relationship, are they now looking at marriage? #LoiNie said yes—just not in the near future.
"Meron [plano magpakasal] pero ngayon hindi pa namin talaga pinag-uusapan kasi focused muna kami sa kanya-kanyang work. At siyempre ipon muna," Loisa answered.

Loisa and Ronnie confirmed their relationship in November 2018 and have created teleseryes together including, Love in 40 Days.
This year, they are together once again in ABS-CBN and TV5's co-produced series, Pira-pirasong Paraiso' alongside Charlie Dizon, Elisse Joson, Alexa Ilacad, KD Estrada, and Joseph Marco.
