They say the best friendships are the ones that began unexpectedly. This might be the case for Maja and Maine. These two have formed a bond so strong that they exerted immense effort for each other’s weddings. ICYDK, Maine and Maja’s wedding dates were just three days apart —but they still managed to be each other’s bridesmaids. Also, Maine's wedding was held in Baguio, Philippines and Maja's was in Bali, Indonesia. Just imagine how hectic the travel logistics were!
Maine and Maja's friendship began not because of their names having the same first initial letter, but mostly because of their shared sense of humor. (Although later on, the initial "M" will be part of their story) Even though Maja started her showbiz career earlier than Maine, the two clicked because of their naughty yet funny wittiness!
It was in 2021 when the two met each other as hosts of the longest-running noontime show Eat Bulaga (now called E.A.T.) During that time, Maja was experiencing a fresh start, having put up her own talent agency prior to becoming a Dabarkads. Maja mainly focused on hosting that year until she got engaged in 2022. Meanwhile, we all know how Maine's career started as Eat Bulaga's Yaya Dub in 2015—she later on became one of the show's mainstays.
The two were a *chaotic* duo during the daily noontime show. They were part of the show's "4M" group as they made fun and interesting Eat Bulaga (E.A.T) episodes together with MJ Lastimosa and Miles Ocampo —hence, the 4Ms: Maine, Maja, MJ, and Miles!

In 2022, before the wedding preparations began for the both of them, they had a *spontaneous* trip to Singapore together with MJ, and Maja's then-fiancé Rambo Nuñez. Their beauty queen bestie posted it on Instagram with a caption saying that she only asked for a simple sleepover together—but it all turned out to be a sleepover in Singapore! And it looked like they really had fun during their trip!

Maine and Maja have the same sense of humor, but they also happen to match each other's energies! The two once used TV host Joey De Leon's phone and filled it with their wacky selfies together. LOL!

Despite Maja taking a break from hosting E.A.T, the actress visited the set for Maine's bridal shower during the show. In her heartwarming message to Maine, she said, "Sez, hindi na ako makapaghintay na maging miSEZ tayo." It's not a secret that the term of endearment among "4M" is "Sez."
Maja was also there when Sylvia Sanchez threw a bridal party for Maine!
This July 2023, they both became witnesses to the start of each other's forevers. Instead of resting days before her big day, Maja gladly attended Maine and her now-husband Arjo Atayde's wedding in Baguio. In return, Maine together with Arjo immediately flew to Indonesia, just in time for Maja and Rambo's Bali wedding ceremony.
