The movie first premiered at the 81st Venice International Film Festival on August 30, 2024 where Nicole actually took home the Volpi Cup for Best Actress award. However, that isn't the only thing she had taken from the film because it seems as though Nicole also had enough from faking the orgasms from the raunchy scenes she's filmed with both her leading men—so much so that she had an "orgasm burnout."

What is Orgasm Burnout?

According to experts, one can, in fact, experience burnouts from orgasms (and from faking it too, apparently) based from Kidman's confession about filming her steamy scenes with both her leading men. Sometimes, when scenes with both Dickinson and Banderas would get overwhelming, Nicole would open up, saying, "dont touch me," and "I don't want to orgasm anymore." Nicole also told The Sun, how she was over it, saying "It was so present all the time for me, that it was almost like a burnout."

"Every part of me was committed to that. There was enormous caretaking by all of us, we were all very gentle with each other and helped each other." Nicole added. This something backed up by experts, who say, "Occassionally, you may experience a degree of fatigue or burnout if you orgasm multiple times in a short space of time."

How do you know when you're experiencing orgasm burnout?

Psychologist and relationship adviser Barbara Santini, shared with Yahoo Life that orgasm burnout isn't just about being physically tired, but it also encompasses both psychological and physiological factors.

Santini said that although the body can experience dopamine and oxytocin, some pleasurable neurochemicals, the body can also experience a "saturation point." This is when something that once felt euphoric might now leave you feeling different—your body's way of signaling it's reached its limit.

What do you do when you're going through an Orgasm Burnout?

Kaila Bolton, co-founder of SheSpot, a women's sexual wellness platform, says if you experience orgasm burnout, it may be a time to "take a break before going again." She also emphasized the importance of aftercare such as hydrating, peeing, and also cleaning the intimate area.

Meanwhile, when experiencing a burnout, Santini advises to slow down sexual activity and actually focus on other facets of intimacy that don't involve having an orgasm. This is so both the mind and body can recalibrate and also develop deeper connection that is not associated with reaching climax. In the advent of orgasm burnout, emotional wellbeing plays an important role and it is of utmost importance to communicate with your partner.
