Marriage, while no doubt a momentous moment in anybody’s life, can be a bit complicated at times. Even celeb couples, who seem to have everything together, are no strangers to the bad times, as evidenced by some of this year’s headline-making fallouts.
If you’re a believer in true love, don’t fret! Some stars are still living fairytale-like romances, one of whom is Pia Wurtzbach, who recently revealed that she’s now happily married to Jeremy Jauncey. Their love story makes everyone swoon, so when the beauty queen had an Instagram Q&A, some of her followers took advantage and asked her for relationship advice.
One of the netizens quipped, “How’s married life so far? What engaged couples should prepare for in advance?”
To which, the beauty queen offered an informative and lengthy response, emphasizing the need for couples to communicate. “Talk about everything. I’ve heard so many couples who don’t talk about the big difficult questions before tying the knot,” she said.

She continued, enumerating topics that should be discussed prior to marrying someone. “The important ones I think most women miss out on…
“Finances cause so many breakups. Talk about it openly (talk about debt, savings, spending, investments, goals, and expectations from each other).
“Gender-based roles in the relationship—does the guy expect the woman to stay home? Does the woman expect the man to be the breadwinner?
“How do you comfort each other when one is stressed out? Do I give you space? Do you want comfort or advice? Those are two completely different things.”
“What are your non-negotiables? Deal breakers? Dealing with in-laws or extended families? Knowing your communication style and love languages?
She added that her thoughts came from her conversations with friends. “I am no relationship expert but from what I’ve gathered by talking and listening to friends, these are just some important topics to discuss.”
The Q&A paved the way for her fans to get to know Pia more now that she’s a Mrs., with her generously sharing her thoughts on normal relationship topics to preconceived notions about married women.
