"I just feel content kung nasaang season ako ng life ko. Hindi ako nagco-complain. Masaya ako," Jodi told Boy Abunda in a January 2020 interview. Being single meant more time for her to grow.

The seasoned actress also made a clear statement about not having to lower her standards just to have a boyfriend. "If nobody comes, it’s okay. You cannot lower your standards just because you are desperate to have a boyfriend. You can’t settle for less because, at the end of the day, you will be the one who’s going to be short-changed," she remarked in a 2016 interview.
