We've always known global artist Rosé can give sound advice about anything under the sun. One of the things that she boldly tackled recently was our generation's fascination with the thought of marriage and happiness. In the November 28, 2024 episode of the Therapuss with Jake Shane podcast, Rosé, the global sensation from BLACKPINK, sat down for an open and heartfelt chat with content creator Jake Shane. The conversation touched on her songwriting process, life experiences, and the most intriguing topic of all—relationships.
The fun thing about their episode was that the format really squeezed out Rosé's deep thoughts on several matters raised. The ep was almost an hour long and boy, did they talk about a lot of things. But one thing that struck us was when Rosé questioned the "status quo for happiness."
"My question is getting married, getting a house, why is that the status quo of being happy? Some people have miserable experiences there and sometimes I feel like, oh I'm so happy that I'm a single girl," Rosé confidently said. Her statement was a response to one of the situations that Jake stated. He narrated: "I fear I have the case of the 'Terrible 20s.' Some of my friends are getting married, some have kids, some have houses and I feel like I'm nowhere near ready for any of that. I often get super down because of it. I'm hoping 30s are the new 20s."
Jake and Rosé continued to discuss how there shouldn't really be a status quo for happiness. "If you are not happy because you're basing your happiness in relation to other people around, you're never gonna be happy," the American content creator said, to which Rosé nodded.

Rosé on her upcoming album
Well, aside from looking at various situations and giving out the wisest advice and solutions, Rosé opened up about her upcoming album. ICYDK, Rosé is set to release her first full solo album titled rosie on December 6, 2024. From the album name alone, you can already tell that Rosé already wants us feel how authentic her songs are gonna be.
Rosé disclosed how she poured out her heart and all her emotions into her upcoming new songs, even to the point of being too nervous about the public listening to them. "I was so anxious about it. When the songs were stacking up, I was getting anxious about it," she admitted.
Nonetheless, she's tried to keep a steady and strong mindset for her upcoming album. She declared, "But at this point, I've lived with the album for long enough and I know that it's just like, it's not much. It's just normal human emotions. So like, how could it go wrong at this point?" Rosé hopes and looks forward to people not just liking her songs, but most importantly to relate to them. She expressed, "Because it's so me, and like a song that I relate to and I just feel like a normal girl in her 20s anyway, I feel like people would be able to relate."
