It’s no secret that showbiz relationships tend to get a bad reputation, and there’s the plethora of messy breakups that made headlines over the years as proof. Luckily, we’ve got celeb couples who are making it work despite all the challenges of living in the spotlight, making us believe in true, lasting love!
One couple on our list of #RelationshipGoals is husband-and-wife podcaster duo Jim Bacarro and Saab Magalona, who have been married for eight years now and are blessed with two wonderful kids. One secret of their long-lasting relationship is their bond over music (they’re both members of the local indie band Cheats), prolly the reason why they booked a quick getaway to Hong Kong last weekend to catch their favorite band The Strokes’ concert.
Sadly, they had to cancel last minute, and for a good reason: their son Vito was suddenly sick with a fever and rash on the day of their flight!
On Instagram, Saab penned a ~*touching*~ post about their experience, which depicted what it’s like to love like parents.

She wrote, “Love is planning a quick romantic getaway to watch your favorite band in a foreign country. Love is checking in your bags, being in line at immigration, just to cancel the whole thing because of a text from home. Love is returning to your kid with a fever and rash, nursing him back to health and thanking your stars that you weren’t on the plane yet.
“We’ll have our romantic getaway another time. Still, I’ve fallen deeper in love with my husband because of this. P.S. Vito is doing better today.”
