What You Need To Know About Viber’s New Dating Feature
If you’re interested, starting the process is simple—just like finding a real connection, it doesn't have to be complicated. Here’s how you can test out Viber’s new dating feature:
- Update your app: Make sure you have the latest version of the Viber app on your device.
- Access the feature: Open your Viber application. At the bottom of the screen, navigate to the “More” option represented by three dots.
- Join the waitlist: Just below your profile photo, you’ll find “Viber Dating Beta.” Click on it and select “Join Waitlist.”
- Wait for instructions: Sit tight and await further instructions from Viber.
ICYWW, your Viber Dating profile will be visible only to those using the dating feature. Meaning, it won’t affect your regular Viber account, nor will it be visible to your contacts that you have created a dating profile.
For the interface of Viber's dating profile, it will include your name, birthday, gender, sexual orientation, a brief bio, and up to six recent photos. You’ll also have the option to select your goal—whether it’s finding a relationship, making new friends, or just having some fun.
BTW, Viber recommends using your real name, as it cannot be changed once set. What you *can* continue to update are your sexual orientation and dating goal.
