The 16 Most *Naked* Dresses At The 2023 Met Gala

Fashion's biggest night of the year is officially upon us, and the official theme for the 2023 Met Gala appears to have been...looking as hot as humanly possible.

JK, the theme was actually "in honor of Karl," with celebs and designers tasked with paying homage to the iconic late Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld. Of course, there's no rule book saying naked dresses can't have strong Chanel vibes (actually maybe there is...lol), and several celebs went with majorly sheer vibes.

Check out the most daring looks from the 2023 Met Gala ahead, from cut-outs, to see-through fabric, to nipple pasties. And FYI in case you're wondering, this was the official dress code brief from Vogue:

"The theme has multiple, wondrous ways into it. Lagerfeld, lest you forget, designed for a handful of houses—Balmain, Patou, Chloé, Fendi, Chanel, and his eponymous brand—so there’s a rich trove of materials, eras, and aesthetics to mine for inspiration."

The magazine also noted that there were pretty much three basic options when it came to celebs and designers creating outfits: Option one: "to wear an archival look from one of the labels Lagerfeld led." Option two: to "sport modern-day Chanel or Fendi." Or option three: "to find a Choupette all your own and dress à la Lagerfeld."

Safe to say everyone delivered!
