The wedding bells are ringing for Heart Evangelista and senator Chiz Escudero! On Valentine's Day, February 14, 2024, the two marked their 9th anniversary as a married couple (and celebrated Heart's 39th birthday), but the festivities didn't stop there.
Today, February 15, the couple *renewed* their wedding vows in Balesin Island, the exact place where they they got married in 2015.
Heart Evangelista's Vow Renewal Wedding Dress
Heart was a vision in a beautifully embellished cape gown by Elie Saab, fit for a queen. The hooded design only heightened her regal air!
In an exclusive interview with Harper's Bazaar Singapore, Heart revealed what made her say yes to that particular dress: "Elie Saab has always had a special place in my heart—it was actually one of the first shows I ever attended in fashion week." According to Heart, it was love at first sight. She shared, "I’ve always loved their dreamy and romantic creations, and when I saw the custom couture dress, I knew that was it. The beige colour and the details on the beading… it was love at first sight. My only request was to add the veil—it was a non-negotiable."
Heart completed the look with a bespoke necklace that were made up of diamonds that she has collected over the years. Her unique bouquet was a gift from the same couturier, and of course, it was sparkling, too!
Heart Evangelista's Vow Renewal Wedding Makeup Look
Heart's trusted makeup artist Albert Kurniawan (who also did her wedding makeup back in 2015) shared details of her bridal look on Instagram: "Here we are going for a glossy skin with light frosted eyeshadow and smudged graphic liner with apricot color diffused across her cheeks in Igari blush style with a neutral nude satin lipstick." She looked so angelic!
As expected, netizens showered praises on Heart's Instagram post, with some even comparing her to a saint.
"She’s a goddess," gushed one netizen. Another simply wrote, "Dyosa!" It's clear that Heart had everyone mesmerized.
