It's official: Hidilyn Diaz and her longtime beau and weightlifting coach Julius Naranjo are now married!
A year ago, Hidilyn won the Philippines' first-ever Olympic gold medal. Today, July 26, 2022, she celebrated another win in her life as she married the love of her life!
The weightlifting *kween* was a vision in a white off-shoulder mermaid-cut gown by Francis Libiran. Embellished with silver-toned beadwork, the shimmering frock complemented Hidilyn's bridal glow.
Hidilyn's wedding dress looked even more breathtaking from the back!
Celebrity MUA Juan Sarte brought out Hidilyn's gorgeous eyes using warm-toned eye shadows. Meanwhile, hairstylist Celeste Tuviera adorned her side-parted updo with some flowers for a romantic look.
Another highlight of Hidilyn's look was her one-of-a-kind bouquet, which actually had a special meaning. "[It's] reminiscent of the weights she is known to lift with all her strength on the Olympic stage," floral and event designer Gideon Hermosa shared in an Instagram post. "Today, she walks down the aisle with a double cascading brocade of orchids, the gentlest and lightest she would hold on the day she will say 'I do.'" Its gold handle perfectly matched her barbell-inspired engagement ring, too!
Hidilyn and Julius were engaged in October 2021 after dating for three years. ICYDK, the two met at a sports event in Turkmenistan in 2017.
