Her new title comes as no surprise considering that she's been lauded for dictating fashion trends and racking up sales throughout the year. As The Lyst's official website states, "Jennie was the most powerful dresser of 2023, consistently influencing fashion searches with her prolific, fashion-forward looks."
For one, her status as a Chanel ambassador has allowed her to showcase her sartorial prowess at various high-profile events. After marking her acting debut in HBO's The Idol, Jennie turned heads at the Cannes Film Festival in a lace couture gown from Chanel's Spring/Summer 2020 collection. She was also dressed in a stunning vintage piece by the fashion house when she attended the Met Gala for the very first time last May.
Chanel aside, Jennie also has some pull in the casual everyday apparel category. After she collaborated with Calvin Klein for a capsule collection of basic wardrobe essentials, searches for the brand increased by 22% on Lyst. One of her OOTDs on Instagram also caused the Cecilie Bahnsen x Asics Mary-Jane to go viral online, resulting in a 27% spike in pageviews for the buzzy shoe.
