Liza Soberano continues to make fashionable strides in La La Land! After conquering the East Coast in full H&M x Mugler garb, the all-around performer channeled her roots in a glittering take on the terno.

Making her appearance in the annual Gold Gala honoring Asian excellence in the film industry, the actress recruited stylist of the stars Perry Tabora for an all-black rendition of the Filipiniana ensemble. Crafted by Filipino designer Mark Bumgarner, the sophisticated number glimmered under the lights with its intricately studded form. To spin it for the more contemporary audience, the dress’ bodice and skirt peeked at a subtle hint of skin with its sheer material.
“When Liza messaged me to create her look for the event, I immediately said yes despite us being [on] two different continents,” the designer wrote on Instagram. “Thank you Liza for trusting me and my team, and representing the Philippines so well.”
The 25-year-old star built on the glimmering motif with dangling earrings and diamonds gracing her neck, courtesy of Global Rings Jewelry. Her glamour look of the night was nothing short of classic, with a neatly pulled half ponytail by Hollywood hairstylist Ryan Richman. Meanwhile, makeup artist Picilla Pae added to Liza’s nouveau edge with her pointed eyeliner, softened by a light feminine blush peppering her cheeks.
