As its name implies, this trend was inspired by the *fictional* wives of mobsters (a.k.a. gangsters) in the '80s. You can spot this aesthetic on the female characters in series like The Sopranos and Capote Vs. The Swans.

Filipino celebrities like Heart Evangelista have already given the trend their stamp of approval. "She's a mob wife," Heart captioned her OOTD in Paris, and she totally nailed it!
How To Recreate The Mob Wife Aesthetic
The first you need is simple: A *black* outfit. "You'll need to start with an outfit that's comprised of an entirely black garment," said Sarah Jordan Arcuri, the self-proclaimed "Mob Wife Aesthetic CEO", in another viral TikTok video. She continued, "If you could add some leather in there, even better. If you look like you're going to a funeral, you know you're doing it right.
